New York Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA Program is seeking a VISTA Veterans Services Coordinator who will develop and coordinate activities, events and materials in support of veterans for one year in Jefferson Community College’s service area. The Coordinator will be positioned at Jefferson Community College and will identify and collaborate with community organizations and veterans to address unmet needs and services, develop/market a resource guide for veterans, provide resources and support to enable veterans to reach their educational and career goals, and develop College resources to provide a veteran-friendly educational environment for veteran students. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, strong written and verbal communications skills, demonstrated leadership, public speaking and event planning skills, experience working with students and in community service, a valid driver’s license and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A military veteran is highly desired.
