Located in the Museum of Pharmacy, everything in this unique restaurant is connected to the theme of the old pharmacies. The comfort food menu, created by chef-owner Susana Felicidade, is pure bliss on a plate. There’s also a great terrace overlooking the charming square of Santa Catarina.

Everything is exceptional at Prado: chef António Galapito’s cuisine, the architecture and decor, the carefully curated wine list. The owners have a boutique delicatessen and cafe next door that’s also worth a visit.

Upon his death, Portuguese mogul António Champalimaud donated a large portion of his wealth to setting up a Foundation to foster medical research in the field of eyesight. Located at the foundation’s Centre for the Unknown, near the mouth of the Tagus, the Darwin’s Café probably has the most impressive riverside terrace in town.

Owned by Antonio and Viviane, a Portuguese-Belgian duo, A Travessa has kept its allure and charm for over two decades. Located in an old convent in the heart of traditional Madragoa, the restaurant attracts a mixed crowd of local jet-setters and foreigners who come for the comfort food and great service.

The JNcQUOI brand is a recent addition to the Lisbon food scene, offering several very sophisticated outlets on Avenida da Liberdade. These include a Portuguese restaurant, a deli-bar, an Asian restaurant (and concept store) and soon also a boutique hotel.
