Kulripa Bridge

KURILPA BRIDGE Kurilpa Bridge caused something of a stir as it began to span the Brisbane River in 2009. Lacking familiarity with conventional bridges, with its sculptural form of seemingly random spars and cables, the bridge elicited many metaphors from the public. The architects Cox Rayner and engineers Arup however argued that its character is responsive to context both physical and cultural. This book, by renowned architectural writers Haig Beck and Jackie Cooper, digs into the core ideas that generated a design aimed at making Brisbane as Australia’s iconic subtropical city.
