Sean Taylor LONDON
Keith Doran + Strange Brew Newry
The Blues Katz Warrenpoint
The Nite Hawks Newry / Warrenpoint
Sean Taylor is one of the hottest new names in the UK blues/acoustic scene. His incredible passion for performance, sheer talent and songwriting of the highest calibre is a testament to his frequent comparisons with John Martyn, Chris Isaak and Tom Waits.
“This blues power trio will knock the wax from your ears”. Fronted by strat wielding blues ace Keith Doran, this band deliver serious bang for your buck. The rhythm section of Mickey Doran (Bass) and Fergie Hughes (drums) make this trio tighter than a left turn at the crossroads! Expect Stevie’s Texas twang, Rory’s Celtic fire sprinkled with a little Hendrix voodoo dust and enjoy! Get yourself a cold one cuz it’s gonna get hot!!
‘The Katz’ have taken classics by the blues Grand Daddies such as Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson and Slim Harpo and turned them around to face the ‘Nu Blues’/Rockabilly vibes. They have supported greats including Van Morrison, The Yardbirds, Robben Ford, Big Jack Johnson and Otis Grand. Appearances include Budapest harmonica festival; Buskfest, Cork; and the Derry Jazz & Big Band Festival.
The Newry based Nite Hawks are a multi-talented sextet who put brass back into the blues. This classy combo use their horn section to create a rich r‘n’b sound. Peter Hughes (drums), Killian McEvoy (bass) , Ed Hodgett (Guitar), Paul O’Callaghan (trumpet), Dermot Mathers (saxophones) and Tom Moore (saxophone and keyboards) produce a rockin’ blues set that includes tunes from T Bone Walker and B B King.

Get down and shake a tail-feather when Ian Sands and the boys (Ali,Joe, Jarley & James) warm up the crowds.
The Nite hawks storm through Rory Gallagher and Little Feat favourites and stomp through soul classics old and new - something for everyone. Make sure to catch the colourful sound of the Fabulous Nitehawks.

Featuring the finest in Blues with a bit of the ‘Brother where art thou’ feel to it, this is the rootsy blues outfit who stopped at the ‘crossroads’ and had no need to go any further. Another real-deal which features Doboro, guitar and harmonica. Join ‘Malted’ Mark Braidner and friends for some honest blues melodies.

Appearances on BBC and TG4, gigs at the Derry Jazz Festival and the Cork Jazz Festival and a recent sold out series of dates have followed. It all feeds into her love of music and need to perform.
