What is
Giro d’Italia? La città di Armagh dà il sincero benvenuto ai ciclisti elite... Giro d’Italia is one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events and one of the European cycling calendars three Grand Tours.
The Ancient Cathedral City of Armagh will host the final stage of the Giro d’Italia Grande Partenza or ‘Big Start’ on Sunday 11th May.
It is an annual, long distance, multi-stage bicycle road race for professional cyclists held primarily in Italy. Frequently, its opening stages are held outside its home country. From 9-11 May 2014, Northern Ireland will welcome over 200 of the world’s top professional cyclists as we host the opening stages. The famous landscapes of Ireland, North and South, will be viewed by a potential audience of 800 million.
