Jan 2022 Prayer Request from Eric & Ping Huang in Cambodia
Dear Brothers and Sisters, Peace in Lord! Thanks to GOD for letting us witness God’s grace due to God’s love and link with HIM in life. We also thanks for you all there who are walking with us in the missions journey. We know that you have been praying and supporting all the ways to care us. Your images just jumped always into my mind when I was typing the words, which warms our hearts so much. We will keep telling GOD’s grace on our journey. We would like to say Happy Chinese Tiger Year to you all there. Time goes so fast! We just celebrated Christmas and January 2022 has passed already. We think that everybody could not escape interference of COVID-19 pandemics but experienced richness from GOD. I remember that we talked about cease of pandemic due to vaccination in the early 2021 and hopefully back to normality very soon. But then there are a lot of virus variants that let people still on pressure. Anyway, any situation is fully in the control of God. Though the pandemic let international travels uneasy owing to border restrictions, we still decided to return to mission fields after vaccination. “They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself: The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him. The
LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him ”(Lam3: 23-25) Eric arrived at Phnom Penh in October and he moved into a CMI missionary dormitory after one-week quarantine in a governmentappointed hotel. Thanks to GOD for the buffering time to move to the Holy Mount Village finally. Eric joined a lot of evangelical events in some villages and schools of Province Pursat. Thanks to GOD who use the events to let local Khmer people to know Holy name of GOD and let HIM glorified. Also the people who are in control of local Buddha religion could get salvation from Jesus Christ. Eric stayed in

whole December and did preparation on site to improve our living condition in the future. So far works are done for water filtering system, insulations to prevent from heating and noising on metal roof, sealing windows and doors to stop animal and insect invasion, and also building up a water tower. Thanks come to many brothers and sisters who have cared and prayed for the things. Ping also arrived safely at Phnom Penh although she experienced rescheduling her flights and preparing Cambodian border entry documents again due to Cambodian change of new policy to enter. She was also asked to quarantine for 7 days in that there was a Covid-19 positive passenger in her flight. Now she is adapted in hot weather condition here. Thanks to God who control everything in his hands. What happened to us is the best from God. In January 22, she joined an evangelical events in Holy Mount Village that some 240 primary schoolers and 100 adults joined. We pray for God’s softening the hearts of villagers and letting Gospel into their lives and also for wisdom and strength to serve the Khmer people. Thanks to God for quick adaption on the hot weather this time. Pursat area is a little bit cooler than Phnom Penh. Pray for our smooth moving to the village and facing the

challenges. Also what we would experience will witness HIS grace. Many thanks for a lot of chance meeting our children during our stay in Canada. We thank GOD so much to help Connie smoothly delivered baby boy in Calgary and Ping also stayed with them before Christmas. Jessica and Jeremy are very busy but we still had some days with them. Jessica is working very busily with her team in Toronto Downtown. Pray for looking for a boy with full spirituality to go into marriage. Jeremy is busy with his classes in Law School of UofT and thanks to God that he is done with excellent school grades. Pray for his looking for a law firm that accepts his application for summer job. Also pray for his relationship with Abby who is studying in Medicine in University of Ottawa and keeping both spiritually in God’s wisdom and help. It is very grateful for the results after medical follow-up. She is very stable and not changed much with her breast issues. She will still need medical follow-ups every six months. Covid10 lets medical check uneasy but we will all the things place into God’s control and pray for His mercy and grace to keep her in health to serve Him in mission ministries. Please keep praying for our Khmer learning. On arriving Eric join two Khmer study groups. One is for regular class four days a week and another is for bible study once a week. He has made some progress but he is on the bottleneck to expand new words. Thanks for GOD that one local co-worker Theareak will

teach face to face to us for daily study in village. We wish that GOD go with our learning all the ways to serve local people in Khmer. “Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”(Jer32:17) Our plan is to start ministries accordingly after we move in village. They include English class, Chinese class, Clinic Operation, Sunday service in Khmer and visiting villagers to build up closeness with them. Pray for smoothness on practicing the planned works, building up new structure physically and spiritually with co-workers, coordination of ministries and daily life. Also pray for financial needs in the beginning of ministries. “Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.” (Ps 127:1) We are looking forward to seeing how God will work in and through us in a small remote
