ACFAS Resident Scholars – Powered by Zimmer Biomet

The ACFAS Resident Scholars Program, powered by Zimmer Biomet, provided five $1,500 scholarships to offset travel costs to the ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference and complimentary registration, generously supported by an unrestricted grant from Zimmer Biomet. Congratulations to the 2023 recipients!

ACFAS is dedicated to providing residents with opportunities to learn, grow, and network in the field, and we are grateful to Zimmer Biomet for supporting us in these efforts. Zimmer Biomet’s Global President of Foot and Ankle and Trauma congratulated the Resident Scholars, stating “The delivery of healthcare is changing and we at Zimmer Biomet are aligned with this evolution, especially in the foot and ankle profession. We believe the future is bright. Zimmer Biomet understands the important role that you have in helping patients restore mobility, alleviate pain and improve the quality of life by adopting and developing new technologies.”

ACFAS Immediate Past President Michael J. Cornelison, DPM, FACFAS, expressed his gratitude to Zimmer Biomet for their generous support of the Resident Scholars Program. "There's no doubt that the ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference is the premier convocation for foot and ankle surgeons. Surgeons, both well-seasoned and new, recognize that the value of this meeting goes well beyond serving as a way to get their annual requirement of continuing education units. The quality and relevance of the educational offerings are unsurpassed, but the opportunity to share these experiences with colleagues who share the highest desire to be the best foot and ankle surgeons is really what makes this conference the greatest of them all.

These five stand-out Residents epitomize the verve for collaborative learning and commitment to the future of our specialty for whom our Annual Scientific Conference seeks to enrich. I look forward to witnessing each Resident Scholar's contributions to foot and ankle surgery through their participation at this and future ACFAS educational programs. I'd also like to extend a huge thank you to Zimmer Biomet for making this program possible—their impact on our future leaders will be evident for years to come.”

Congratulations to all of the recipients of the 2023 Resident Scholars!
