What is the role of House Captains & Vice Captains?

• One of the leadership opportunities at ACG School Jakarta. • As a House Captain or Vice Captain, your role is to lead and support your House members in the participation of House activities.

• You will also be responsible for communicating information with your House members regarding upcoming events and organising teams and volunteers, as needed. • You will be expected to take a lead role in all House activities throughout the year, such as House Sports

Tournaments and House events.

What qualities and skills might you need to be a House Captain or House Vice Captain?

• Show integrity & commitment • Be passionate • Be responsible • Be sensitive to others • Be able to motivate & encourage others • Be a team player • Be creative & innovative • Have excellent communication skills • Have decision-making skills • Have problem solving skills • Have good organizational skills

What roles are available?

Each House will need to elect:

• A House Captain from Years 10 or 11. • A Vice-Captain from Years 10 or 11. • A Vice-Captain from Years 7-9

What happens now?

• Split into two groups: Year 10-11 & Year 7-9. • In those groups’ students nominate each other. (Remember the person being nominated must be willing to accept the position, if elected). • When all nominations have been agreed, students vote. • Voting is made anonymously, by writing your choice on a piece of paper. • All voting papers are then stapled together & given to the teachers in charge. (Years 10-11 make sure its clear which role is being voted for: Captain or Vice).
