Our Digital Skills courses are great for those looking to navigate the online world, improve work and technical skills, and get the guidance you need to feel more comfortable on your device.

Our English courses will help to blow away the cobwebs, improve your confidence and gain a qualification. They are also free to those who do not currently hold a grade C or 4 (or above) in this subject.

Mental Health Recovery

We offer a FREE range of courses for anyone wishing to improve their mental wellbeing or recovering from a period of mental ill-health, or for anyone wishing to gain awareness of mental ill health or who are supporting or working with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties.

Courses take place in classrooms across Essex or online in a virtual classroom with group teaching facilitated by two qualified specialist tutors who have professional and lived experience and knowledge of mental health. New courses open for booking every term throughout the year.

An introduction to strategies to help build your self-confidence, looking at selfawareness and how to develop assertiveness, negotiation and personal skills.

Goal Setting for Wellbeing

Helps you clarify your goals in any aspect of life, helping you focus and get motivated towards working on a long- or short-term goal of your choice, to enhance your quality of life and gain a sense of achievement.

Managing Sleep for Wellbeing

An introduction to self-help strategies to improve sleep. Sleeping well is important for our mental and physical health and many factors affect quality of sleep. On this course you will find out how to recognise sleep cycles, routines and environmental factors affecting sleep and what you can do to achieve better sleep quality.

Self-Care for Carers

This short course is designed for anyone who is in a caring role for adults or children with a short- or long-term health condition. You will learn how to manage your own self-care while caring for others and find strategies to improve physical and mental wellbeing.

How to enrol

Once you have chosen your course/s, you can either enrol on our website, by phone or in one of our centres.

1. Online

Visit www.aclessex.com and create an account. You can then either search for the course title using the search box or browse our website.

Once the course has been selected, you will be asked to fill out an enrolment form (non-qualification) or asked to enrol onto an assessment session (qualification).

2. Phone

Call 0345 603 7635 and you will be put through to a member of our customer service team. Before calling, please make a note of the course title or course code.

Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 5pm, unless otherwise stated.

3. In Centre

Visit one of our 8 centres and speak to a member of our Customer Service team at reception to enrol on a course or find out more information. See page 3 for centre information or visit our website for opening times aclessex.com/centres.
