Fronté Field Assembly: step 1

Clear Plastic Glazing Channel

Install clear plastic glazing channel strips onto all four edges of each glass segment by tapping gently using a soft rubber mallet. Make sure the glazing channel is completely seated onto edge of glass. Rub both outer faces of the glazing channel with a bar of white soap prior to assembly to all frame components.

Note: It is recommended that the panels be assembled on saw horses so each glass segment can be adequately supported. (supplied by installer)

Note: For tempered glass (less than ¼” thick), use glazing channel with outer fin. For safety laminate glass (thicker than ¼”), use glazing channel without outer fins.

FrontĂŠ Field Assembly: step 2

First insert muntins onto glass segments taking care to center on length. Install top sash onto top glass segment. Install bottom sash onto bottom glass segment. Insert 5-J-2281 intermediate support leg into hole in bottom sash and tape in place. Tape should be removed after installation. Top Sash

Fronté Field Assembly: step 3

Position right and left hand vertical rail assemblies so that the top of the vertical rail aligns with the top surface of the top sash. Attach screws for top & bottom sashes first before fully engaging the glass in the middle section of the vertical rail assemblies to allow for easier adjustment. Use (1) #10 x 1-1/4” hex head screw and (2) #6 x 1-1/2” flat head screws at each end of the top sash and (2) #10 x 1-1/4” hex head screws at each end of the bottom sash.

(1) #10 x 1-1/4” hex head screw (2) #10 x 1-1/4” hex head screws

FrontĂŠ Field Assembly: Step 4

Use a rubber mallet to tap the muntin bars up or down until the hole in the vertical rail aligns with the emboss in the end of the muntin. Attach each end with #10 x 1-1/4� hex head screw.

FrontĂŠ Field Assembly: step 5 (Applies only when using recessed ceiling channel)

For recessed ceiling channel conditions, attach a jack post to one upper edge of the panel consistent with the jack posts installed on smaller width panels on the job.
