EVENT INFORMATION
ACOEP’s Spring Seminar CME and Course Objectives Course Objectives 1. Increase clinical knowledge of emergency medicine through an innovative mixture of lectures and hands-on workshops on practical and administrative processes. 2. Develop and improve basic skills utilized by emergency medicine practitioners in emergency medicine settings. 3. Create an environment in which new physicians will develop presentation and research skills through a series of competitive venues. 4. Review the most updated literature on various topics of emergency medicine. ACOEP’s Spring Seminar Chair Christopher Colbert, DO, FACOEP This educational activity is sponsored by the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP). ACOEP is an approved provider of AOA Category 1A CME credit. ACOEP has requested that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education approve this program for 22.5 AOA Category 1A CME credits for didactic sessions, and up to 27 credits through additional opportunities. Approval is currently pending. In total, over 37.5 hours of Category 1A CME is available at ACOEP’s Spring Seminar.
AAEM Accreditation Statement This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) and the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP). The American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation Statement The American Academy of Emergency Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 22.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Disclosure of Course Faculty and Commercial/Industry Relations In accordance with ACOEP policy, all faculty members and planning committee members have been asked to sign a disclosure agreement stating any commercial, financial, or other relationships within the medical and emergency medicine industry relative to topics of which they will discuss in this educational program. At the beginning of each program, a faculty member is expected to disclose such information to participants, and have been instructed to do so by ACOEP. These disclosures allow for the best possible objectivity in the content and preparation of each lecture, and allow you to better evaluate each faculty member. If you perceive any undisclosed conflict of interest during a lecture or faculty session, please contact ACOEP staff directly or make note in the speaker evaluation.
