Beauty Treatments

Holidays are a great time to pamper yourself. Most of the hotels in Cayman have spas that offer a wide range of health and beauty treatments including aromatherapy, massage therapy as well as skin and nail treatments. The Westin (345) 945 3800, The Ritz-Carlton (345) 943 9000 and the Kimpton Seafire (345) 746 0000 all boast saunas, steam rooms and relaxation rooms, which you can enjoy before and after your treatment. Botanika Union at the Marriott Beach Resort offers massages, anti-ageing treatments, facials, pedicures and more. Eclipze Hair Design & Day Spa in Camana Bay (SEE PAGES 8695) offers a range of hair, nail and spa treatments. And out East there is a Le Soleil Spa (345) 946 3338.

Body Fitness

There are many places in Cayman where you can get a workout. Gym bunnies should check out Anytime Fitness, Crossfit and Ryde in Camana Bay (SEE PAGES 8695). Other fitness options are yoga at One Heart Yoga (345) 938 9642, Pilates at Energy (345) 946 6006 and Balance in Caribbean Plaza (345) 326 8111. For mobile personal trainers contact Fitness Connection (345) 949 8485. Cardio Tennis is on offer at The Ritz-Carlton (345) 943 9000 or improve your game with a lesson at the CI Tennis Club (345) 949 9464 or the Cayman Tennis Academy (345) 547 6257. Horse riding is available at Spirit of the West (SEE PAGE 62) or Coral Stone Stables (SEE PAGE 61). Camana Bay is a great spot for a walk and if you want to increase your heart rate, try climbing to the top of the Observation Tower. Last, but certainly not least, there is the sea and beach. Seven Mile Beach is perfect for a safe sea swim in calm waters, or a beach walk or run.

Golf

There are two golf courses on-Island: a ninehole and an 18-hole, plus two indoor golf facilities. At both courses you can rent clubs and improve your swing with a lesson from a pro. The courses are quieter during the week when residents are at work.

North Sound Golf Club (345) 947 4653 is an 18-hole course with a driving range and two putting greens. The par-71, 6,605 yard course has a USGA course rating of 73.1 and a slope of 139. The signature hole, #11, is a long par-3, playing into the wind with the picturesque North Sound as the backdrop. If you need to improve your swing, consider taking a lesson or two with their PGA professional coach. Once you have finished your game, head to the open-air bar for a nice cool beverage.

The Ritz-Carlton has a nine-hole golf course but is only open to hotel guests and members.

Cayman Golf Lab is an indoor golf facility located in George Town. They offer two HD golf simulators and 300sq ft of putting green, as well as golf lessons for adults and children. (345) 546 6786.

Insider Tip

Both golf courses offer cheaper twilight rates, so enjoy a round of golf with a drink in hand as the sun sets.
