gentle and accommodating manner. There are 3 stages in Kripalu Yoga. In stage one, you learn to pay precise attention to the alignment and details of each posture. You also lear n how to breathe deeply, coordinating breath and movement, and also come to know the limits of one's physical abilities. The second stage has to do with retaining yoga poses for longer periods of time, attending inward to the bodily sensations and thus, building concentration and inner awareness. The third stage is referred to as "Meditation in Motion", a prayer without words. In this, all rules and restrictions of the willful practice are set aside and the postures are allowed to emerge spontaneously, guided by the wisdom of the body. Kripalu Yoga includes within one system the physical and breathing practices of Hatha Yoga. It also incorporates the mental disciplines of Raja Yoga, the prana awakening principles of Kundalini Yoga, together with the devotion of Bhakti Yoga and the emphasis on service of Karma Yoga.
