Livestock Event The Livestock event takes place on 2nd/3rd at the NEC Birmingham. UK Dairy Day A new Dairy Show will be held on Wednesday 17th September 2014 at the Telford International Centre, organized by HUK. It is a multi-breed event specifically aimed at the dairy industry entitled UK Dairy Day and will have competitive classes for dairy cows for Heifer in milk, Junior cow in Milk, and Senior cow in milk. The event has been positively received by the trade with many trade exhibitors already having booked stand space. The Telford International Centre is centrally located and is a modern exhibition centre with 10000sq meters of undercover space.

TB Valuations We have been informed that some DEFRA offices are refusing to pay pedigree valuations for animals which are in the supplementary section of the herd book. This has also been a problem with some other breed societies. As far as we are aware the problem arises when the words supplementary register are printed on the certificate. In order to try and solve this problem as quickly as possible we have removed the words supplementary register for all new registrations with immediate effect. If anyone has a TB reactor we would be very happy to print a duplicate certificate which will not have the words supplementary register printed on the certificate. Whilst this may not be the total solution to the problem it may actually prevent some of the problems arising in the first instance, so if anyone has a reactor in the supplementary register please ask us for a duplicate certificate as soon as possible.
