The theme Repair aims to expand the point of view from the object of architecture, to the way it operates in its context, advocating a role for architecture that catalyses or actively engages with the environmental, social and cultural repair of the places it is a part of. This book explores the theme at the Australian Institute of Architects, Australian Pavilion, 16th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, 2018. The notion of repair is discussed through various theoretical contributions as well as the cataloguing of fifteen exhibited architectural projects and the installation Grasslands Repair, Ground and Skylight by Baracco+Wright Architects in collaboration with Linda Tegg.
