The search for Roark again takes shape in a place that tests the endurance of not only ones physical specimen, but the core or their spirituality, resolve, god given wits and appetite for curry. India, the land of enchantment and exotic splendor is the setting for a renewed rendezvous between Roark and his muse Simone. Will the great swindle of love and fame tempt our protagonist? Or will his thirst for speed be fulfilled by a trusty Enfield and the secret windswept banks that lead him to the Monsoon Church. The collection is inspired by the Holy nature of the region, local textile techniques, woodblocks and the impending monsoon. Enjoy.

Modeled directly from the 1960’s namesake, the motorcycles are a beautiful convergence of 1960’s styling with modern materials. They guided us effortlessly through the chaotic streets and backfields of Southern India for over 500KM. Look for a customized scrambler give-away come February 2017.

M a u r i c e C o l e : MC could be the closest living relative to Roark, so the story goes. When he asked if he could shape a board that suited Roark, we told him to piss off and to stop fucking with us. But he was persistent, so we went to work on the “Shiva.” Roark wanted a utility board, a one board quiver for travel that could perform in various conditions for various styles of surfing. So Maurice crafted a shape with volume spread throughout, low entry rocker, a rounded pin-tail, sharp rails to the nose (because Roark never loses his edge) and FCS fin set-ups for a single, thruster and quad. She’s proven herself in 3’-5’ banks in India, double overhead tubes in Bali and 6’-8’ California point breaks. It’s the most versatile board you’ll ever ride and is adorned with a rangoli print we found on an Indian elephant. The “Shiva” will become available sometime this spring for limited edition order.

G r a y l : Grayl provided us with limited edition Roark branded “Quest” water purifiers. They are effective water purification for the rigors of international travel and highly impacted wilderness areas worldwide. The Quest is 99.9999% effective against chemicals, metals, bacteria, protozoa and viruses. You need this. We used all day in the beaver infested waters of Vancouver Island and the septic water in India. It’s Holy.

E L E C T R IC : Electric’s passionate designers painstakingly created eyewear for our expedition to the Himalayas, and now outfit us with an assortment of shades and goggles on all trips. Roark always exudes calmness and cool under the most extreme conditions - Electric punctuates the vibe with eyewear to match. They were a local favorite in India and 3 pairs were stolen.

Headlamps are useful on any trip, not just ones with tents and sleeping bags. We often find ourselves walking around in the dead of night searching for something, someone or perhaps just our minds. DANN E R B OO T S : Danner was kind enough to provide our feet with boots made in America of leather. As always they performed in every condition including a few bars. We’ve enjoyed using them as riding boots for the motos that transition to the trail - their rugged but stylish nature give us an obvious advantage over a lesser bootman.
