Suicide

Bombings Question: Are bombings and acts of suicide considered legitimate means of propagating Islam

?

Answer: Those people who carry out these kinds of acts assuming they are calling to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His messenger, they themselves are in need of being called to (Islam and having it propagated to them)! How could someone be promoting Islam among people while at the same time carrying out explosions and acts of destruction? This is not calling and propagation. Instead, it is deterrence and repelling (people from Islam). Did the prophet Muhammad propagate the religion this way? When he was in Mecca, was there even a single day that he or his companions destroyed anything or carried out any act of devastation? Of course not, he did the very opposite; he used to call to his Lord with wisdom and good preaching, requesting the people to join and assist him in this. He never carried out any destructive acts among people because this harms the Muslims the most and even causes some of the non-Muslims to rejoice. So, it is never permissible or condoned (by Islam). It is rather a way of calling to Satan and calling to the fire (Hell). Allah said:

• And we have made them leaders calling to the Fire. [Sūrah al-Qaṣaṣ, 28:41] And He says:

• Those invite to the Fire, but Allah invites to Paradise. [Sūrah al-Baqarah, 2:221]

So, it is possible for someone’s way of calling and propagation to actually be a call to the Fire if that call is to misguidance as the prophet Muhammad said: “Whoever calls to misguidance, there is upon him a sin similar to the sin of anyone who follows him in that without taking anything away from their own sins.” So, it is certainly possible that such a call could really be to Hell Fire and not to the truth.

Those Who Commit Suicide in the Name of “Jihad” are Actually Followers of Satan

The great scholar, Dr. Ṣāliḥ Ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān, a member of Saudi Arabia’s council of senior scholars and the Permanent Committee of scholars, describes those who claim they are performing “Jihad” for the sake of Allah by committing suicide are actually fighting for the sake of Satan. Those people who fall into this type of corruption never sought the council of any Islamic scholars, never learned anything from them. Instead, they isolate themselves from mainstream Muslims and privately accompany people who act as the worst “human idols.” Such people then began brain washing individuals until they eventually harbor enmity towards the public and thus carry out these types of attacks. They consider Muslims to be disbelievers, they murder them, blow up buildings indiscriminately killing both the young and old, male and female, Muslims and those non-Muslims guaranteed safety and living peacefully under Muslim laws (in Muslim nations) – all because of this corrupt ideology. This is the end result of all those who turn to wicked people for guidance and to the very callers and propagators that the messenger told of when he was asked about certain trials and tribulations that will occur toward the end of time; he said:

Callers at the doors to Hell; whoever obeys them, they will cast him into it (Hell). (Recorded by al-Bukhārī and Muslim) This is exactly the state of affairs now and it only confirms this statement of the messenger). When such people align themselves with callers to misguidance, those callers lead others into it (misguidance or Hell). Everyone condemns them and hates their actions – both non-Muslims and believers. And no one supports their actions except those like them and those on the same methodology. This issue (of suicide attacks) is certainly a great tribulation and evil, and it is crucial that Muslims carefully understand the issue and not rush to act. Anyone (confused about the issue) should ask the people of religious knowledge to clarify the correct position and then ask Allah for guidance. People should not simply trust others with regards to this issue without knowing the reality of such propagators and whether they are established upon truth or not even though they may outwardly show good conduct, religious fervor, and honor for Islam.

Voting in the UK

By Callum Sheldrake

First-Past-the-Post Used in UK general elections and is the primary method of electing MPs in England and Wales. Various voting stations are set up in areas within a constituency, with each voter selecting a single candidate they wish to elect, for their own constituency, (your constituency is the area in which you live, and the UK is divided into 650 individual constituencies that include areas in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.) The candidate with the most votes after the deadline will be elected as the MP for that constituency, and they occupy a single seat for the party they represent in the House of Commons. During a General Election, the total number of seats for each political party is also counted. If that number represents a majority of seats (usually around 326) for one party, the party leader is then chosen as Prime Minister. If a majority is not reached, a number of parties can come together in order to form a coalition. This coalition must have a majority of seats in the House of Commons, but can include MPs from a number of different parties. Normally, the party with the most seats in a coalition will have their leader elected as Prime Minister, with the lesser represented party(s) having their leader(s) elected as a Deputy Prime Minister, an example being the ConservativeLiberal Democrat coalition between 2010-15 with David Cameron and Nick Clegg becoming PM and Deputy-PM respectively. A huge advantage of First-Past-the-Post is it’s easy to understand, people vote for who they want, and whoever has the most votes, wins; simple. Now the issues arise, anyone who didn’t vote for the winner is disregarded. The system also prevents small parties from building traction, as their representation may be spread across many areas in the UK. This is negative, as small parties gaining traction and growing is an essential part of keeping UK politics current and representative, the ideology that anyone individual can be elected to parliament is a crucial (if not the most important) part of UK’s political system as it is founded on the belief that all people within the UK are equal and capable of voicing their concerns about how their country is governed. Alternative Vote – AV Used to elect Lord Speakers, a chair for debates in the

both the Lords and the Commons, who are expected to remain politically impartial during their tenure in the position. This involves ranking any number of candidates in order of preference, with No.1 being most preferable; No.2 being second most preferable, and so on. The voter must rank their chosen candidate(s) by putting a number in the box that is next to the name of the chosen candidate. Firstly the votes are counted for the number one preference candidates, if one candidate has over 50% of the votes as first choice, they are elected. If no one candidate has more than 50% as a number one choice, the candidate with the fewest votes as number one preference is removed. Then all of the second preference votes are reallocated, as a result of the eliminated candidate, and included in totals for the other candidates; if no majority is achieved for one candidate after this, the candidate with the lowest first choice votes is again eliminated, votes are then reallocated and so on. This continues until one individual candidate has more first preference votes in total compared to all of the other candidates combined. AV is rather confusing at times, as the number of total votes that a voter can provide seems to be a tad excessive, which adds unnecessary complexity. If there is an overall winner from the first round of counting it is easy; it’s when the votes are more widespread that the complications increase. The freedom does allow for a lot of choice, and certainly reduces what would otherwise be counted as wasted votes, but it also manages to make the election process significantly more complicated and doesn’t necessarily fix the lack of equality between voters. It is unlikely for this method to be pushed forward as a reform, as it was the subject of a referendum in 2011, known as the ‘AV referendum’, which was a proposed scrapping of the First-Past-the-Post system in favour of AV, as the method of voting in future General Elections. 68% of the vote said ‘NO’ to an AV system, maintaining the current First-Past-the-Post that we still use now. This is a more general problem, but any system that collects votes by order of preference can lead to what is known as ‘Donkey Voting’, which entails people simply voting in order of preference literally based on the order of candidates on the ballot paper. Obviously this is not an effective use of a vote, and only furthers the processing required to collect the results. NewGen 11

19 Best Foods for

Your Liver 1

If you’re overweight or obese, in addition to losing weight you may want to focus on including more liver-protective foods in your diet. A first step would be to be sure you’re drinking enough water, which will help flush toxins and waste products from your body. A general guide is to drink enough water so that your urine is pale yellow in color. As for foods, the right combination of nutrients will help keep your liver functioning optimally. Some of the best foods for your liver have been compiled by Rodale News and are listed below:

Fermented foods:

Fermented foods like cultured vegetables provide your body with beneficial bacteria that aid in digestion and provide detoxification support. The fermented food kimchi, for instance, has been found to help your bodybreak down pesticides.

2

Cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, bok choy, and daikon):

These help your liver neutralize toxins, including chemicals, pesticides, medications, and carcinogens.

3

Dark green leafy vegetables (kale, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and dandelion greens):

These contain rich amounts of sulfur, which helps your liver with detoxification. Dandelion greens in particular are known for supporting liver detoxification and health.

4

Sea vegetables:

Various types of seaweed and brown algae also support detoxification and may also help prevent your body from absorbing heavy metals and other environmental toxins. Be sure the sea vegetables come from a nonpolluted water source.

5 Sprouts

Sprouts contain high levels of enzymes that serve as catalysts for important body functions. Recent research suggests that broccoli sprouts may help your body detox environmental pollutants such as benzene.6 From my perspective, broccoli, watercress, and sunflower sprouts are foods that virtually everyone can and would benefit from growing.

6

Garlic, onions, shallots, and leeks:

7

Organic, pastured eggs:

8

Artichokes:

9

Mushrooms:

These foods are rich in sulfur, including the sulfur-based compound allicin, which is critical for liver detoxification.

Eggs are a high-quality source of protein that includes all eight essential amino acids. Your liver needs these to help detoxify your body. Choline, found in egg yolks, also helps protect your liver from toxins.

These contain cynarin and silymarin, which support liver health.

Maitake, shiitake, and reishi mushrooms are known for their potent immunosupportive agents and also contain L-ergothioneine, a powerful antioxidant to help neutralize free radicals.

10 Berries:

Berries are rich in phytochemicals, including anthocyanin, which might inhibit the proliferation of liver cancer cells.

16 Organic, grass-fed meat:

By avoiding meat raised on confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs) and instead choosing grass-fed meat exclusively, you’ll help avoid pesticides, chemicals, hormones, and antibiotics that further tax your liver.

sardines, anchovies, 17 Wild-caught and salmon: These provide anti-inflammatory omega-3 fats. You can also find these in krill oil.

11 Coconut oil:

18 Whey protein powder:

This healthy saturated fat is so easy for your body to digest that no pancreatic fat-digesting enzymes are needed. This puts less stress on your liver and helps it function optimally.

Whey protein provides the amino acids necessary for glutathione production, which is essential for liver protection and function. Choose organic whey protein from grass-fed cows.

12 Avocados:

19 Spirulina:

These contain healthy monounsaturated fat, oleic acid, and glutathione, which is important for liver health.

unrefined, cold-pressed, 13 Organic, extra-virgin olive oil

This blue-green algae is a potent detoxifier. Animal studies suggest spirulina can also protect your liver, probably as a result of its high antioxidant properties and its ability to synthesize or release nitric oxide.

High-quality olive oil contains anti-inflammatory compounds that help your liver decrease oxidative stress in your body (consume this oil unheated).

seeds, hemp seeds, and 14 Flax chia seeds: These contain plant-based omega-3 fats to fight inflammation along with healthy fiber.

15 Herbs:

: Many herbs support liver detoxification and function. This includes ginger, cumin, coriander, cardamom, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, fennel, and turmeric (curcumin).

The ‘forgotten’ army of 400,000 Muslim soldiers who fought in Great War trenches for Britain THEY are the forgotten heroes of the trenches, the brave men who gave their lives to the Empire but whose names have been erased from the history books. More than 400,000 Muslim soldiers fought in World War One , yet a recent survey by British Future, a think-tank dedicated to racial integration, has revealed that only 22 per cent of people know of their sacrifice. And only a pitiful two per cent are aware of the scale of that sacrifice. Now British Future project co-ordinator Avaes Mohammed is overseeing a scheme to educate Birmingham children about the part Muslims from India played in the Great War. Avaes, assisted by Birmingham historian Jahan Mahmood, is giving history lessons to a Muslim group from Lozells and a group of nonMuslims from Kingstanding. The youngsters will then interview descendants of soldiers who fought in the war. The project is one of four across the country that makes up “An Unknown And Untold Story – The Muslim Contribution To The First World War”.

“We should not forget their contribution, because remembering it is so important to our contemporaries” NewGen 16

Ronda Rousey

Knockout

Ronda Rousey knocked out by Holly Holm EXACTLY as predicted Watching Ronda Rousey - the most famous fighting female on Earth - lose a fight was weird enough. Watching Ronda Rousey getting brutally knocked out was even more bizarre. But the interview you can see by just going on Youtube called Ronda Rousey interview before the match, seems to suggest Ronda Rousey knew all this was going to happen. Allow me to explain‌ Holly Holm shocked UFC 193 by handing Rousey the first defeat of her career, knocking the superstar out in the second round of their much-anticipated fight. But it was the way she did it that was really stunning: with a brutal head kick that nearly took Rousey's noggin clean off her shoulders (well, that's how it looked). "She's definitely the biggest threat to me. She's the type of fighter you have to be very, very patient with. She's going to try and keep [her] distance, keep far away from me and get me frustrated to the point where I'm going to make a mistake and she can try to kick me in the head - but it's not going to go like that!"

Well, at least she knew it was coming. Just a shame she couldn't do anything about it‌

Quad Bike

Accident A406 Two quad bikers are fighting for life in hospital after a major accident on the North Circular in Walthamstow. The men, aged in their 30s, were among a group of bikers involved in a pile-up on the A406 close to Fulbourne Road just after 3pm. Scotland Yard said police were called to the accident after reports of a collision between “a number of vehicles including several quad bikes”. London’s Air Ambulance and a crew from the London Ambulance Service arrived at the scene and soon after took the injured men to an east London hospital. A police spokesman described their condition on Sunday evening as “critical”. Drivers were left facing lengthy delays after police closed the road between Crooked Billet and Waterworks Corner while they investigated.

Youth

of the Month My name is Richard Yeboah I’ve have been a regular member at the youth centre for some years now I am a student at LSE(London School of Economics ) and the youth centre has played a significant role in my life as all my friend go there and it our usual spot to go and relax we have games, pool tables, table tennis, so just don’t get lazy and sit around, we also have workshop which are held on a weekly basis where the Active Change Foundation youth workers help us understand current affairs not only that the youth centre keeps up directly involved in their campaigns for example #notinmyname which went global, I was able to participate in it by making a short video about my opinions on the situation. I think having the youth centre specifically in this area where we have issues with the youths committing crimes and joining gangs the youth centre helps by giving the youth a place to stay instead of hanging around on the streets and that why I love the youth centre.
