MAKE THE FIRST IMPRESSION COUNT!

Your property photos are an essential part of generating interest, so it is essential to have your home looking immaculate and desirable to potential buyers. GENERAL - Tips for all areas in the home • Thoroughly clean whole house (vacuum carpet, mop hard floors, clean bench tops, clean windows) • Turn all lights and lamps ON and replace if blown • Use bulbs of the same temperature (ALL incandescent or ALL compact fluorescent) • Turn all ceiling fans, TVs, and computer screens OFF • Open blinds/window treatments to let in outside light • Remove personal photographs (replace with general) • Remove small floor rugs to reveal actual flooring • Place all shoes/jackets in closets FRONT EXTERIOR • Close garage doors and remove cars from driveway • Clean up landscaping (mow, trim shrubs, clear leaves) • Use broom to remove cobwebs from eaves and doors • Remove visible water hoses, toys, sports balls, basketball goals, soccer goals, etc BACKYARD • Clean patio, tidy up outdoor tables/chairs/cushions pillows/cushions should be fresh, not faded • Clear out toys, balls, etc and remove visible water hoses • Clean pool, remove vacuum/cleaner hose and hide pool cleaning supplies • Turn on pool fountains/water features KITCHEN • Clear bench tops completely - NO knife blocks, baking supplies, mail, etc • Leave out max of one small appliance (eg coffee maker) • Clear outside of refrigerator of magnet, papers, etc • Hide rubbish bins and remove dishes from sink

DINING ROOM/TABLE • Clear table, dust and polish the table top - Use a decorative place setting if available • Feature one centrepiece such as a bouquet of flowers • Straighten all chairs and space them evenly, removing any child seats/booster chairs LIVING/FAMILY ROOM • Remove stacks of magazines, papers, mail, etc and remove kids toys • Fluff and arrange furniture pillows BEDROOMS • Make bed, including decorative pillows if available • Clear bedside tables of all personal items and remove clutter from top of dressers, storing away phone/tablet charging cables • Remove family photos, personalised names and wall stickers/posters from wall • Clean under bed, removing any items that may show in the photos BATHROOMS • Clear bench tops completely - NO soap, toothbrushes, medications, deodorant, etc • Put toilet seats down and remove floor mats • Remove shampoo, soap, loofahs, etc from showers and bath • Remove dirty towels - leave out only new, unused towels PETS • Place food, water bowls, pet beds and toys in pantry or closet • Use lint roller on furniture to remove pet
