Apprenticeship Framework

The aim of the Perioperative Support Apprenticeship is to support a learner to become a competent member of the Clinical team providing person-centred care to patients in a theatre within a hospital setting

The programme prepares learners for roles such as:

• Perioperative Healthcare Support Worker

Who is this apprenticeship for?

This programme is for candidates who support patient care before, during and after attending a hospital theatre. It is an alternative to the Clinical Health Level 3

Overview

The course will support you to undertake your responsibilities within a clinical setting professionally and competently. It will enable you to provide the correct interventions according to your organisations policies and procedures and to record and report on individuals in your care with accuracy, to ensure they receive the best care and treatment

On completion of this apprenticeship, you will achieve the following:

• Diploma Apprenticeship in perioperative Support (Wales)

• Essential Skills - Application of Number (AON) Level 2*

• Essential Skills - Communication Level 2 *

• Essential Skills – Digital Literacy Level L2

• Prentis-iaith Welsh Language Development
