My interactive media idea will be an online game. A person will see the box icon (game’s representation) that is a link to the game. An animation will play out a scene of Planet Earth in space and an Eggo real fruit pizza flies in and orbits Planet Earth a few times. At the end the “flying saucer” will zoom out into dead center Planet Earth. This is the loading phase for the game. It will open up with a scene of a neighborhood in the foreground and a city in the background. A box appears telling how to get the most points. The animation will be a fruit pizza flying saucer floating in the sky. Pieces of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, and oats) will be moving from left to right, vice-versa, at the bottom of the screen. As a player moves the cursor, the pizza saucer will move in a horizontal motion. Clicking the cursor will send a red beam down to the bottom of the screen. When the beam hits a piece of fruit, points will be added to the score. The amount of points will depend on what piece of fruit is hit. Typically points will be awarded based on the fruit piece’s supposed nutritional value. The time limit for the game will be 60 seconds. When the time runs out, the player’s score will be totaled and recorded. After this, the player will be asked if he/she would like to play again. The name of of the game is “Fruit Saucers”.
