CLIF KIDS
RAISING THE BAR CHALLENGE This promotion would incorporate two of the most important focuses of the Clif bar company: being active and giving back. Kids ages 8-14 would have the opportunity to use a proof of purchase found in their clif bar box (or they can apply for a code by mail) to upload a video that shows what they can do with the energy they get from a Clif Z bar. They will either fit into the category of “Making a Change” or “Making a Move”. This particular ad will promote the “Making a Move” portion of the competition. “Making a move” entries will involve kids being active in some unique or extreme way. “Making a change” entries will involve the contestant giving back or volunteering to make a difference in the community. The videos will be screened and uploaded to the Clif site where users can register in order to vote for contestants. Votes will be tallied as points and those points can be exchanged for more bars, or other merchandise. Furthermore, the top volunteer videos will be entered into a contest for scholarship money, as well as a large donation of Clif Z bars to a charity to feed those less fortunate in their name. The top action videos winners will earn a massive Clif-sponsored field day for their entire school, with an appearance from a celebrity related to the action in their video.
