Curtin University to add accessibility software to website NetworkWorld via ComputerWorld Australia April 29 2010 Curtin University of Technology will add accessibility software to its website this month in an effort to expand access to its education courses and services. Visually impaired users or users who require assistance with internet browsing will shortly be able to access the university website through BrowseAloud. Google triples enterprise headcount in seven months Reseller.co.nz April 26 2010 Google Australia’s enterprise division has tripled its headcount in a little over seven months as the IT giant continues its push into big business With a recent upgrade of the division's Google Apps productivity suite, that involved a considerable amount of development work by the company's Sydney-based engineering workforce, Asia-Pacific enterprise managing director, Doug Farber, said additional headcount would be needed. Texting eclipses talking among US teens BBC - United Kingdom April 20 2010 Texting has become the most popular form of communication among young people in the US, research indicates. The study, by the Pew Internet and American Life Project, suggests that texting has eclipsed mobile phone calls among teenagers for the first time. In the last quarter of 2009, online advertising peaked at $255 million HK, contributing to a full year total spending of $869 million HK. Google Developing Tablet to Take on iPad Mashable.com April 13 2010 Google CEO Eric Schmidt has confirmed that his company is developing a tablet device based on the Android operating system, according to friends that spoke to the executive at a recent event in Los Angeles.
