Feeling the land: St Mary Island Marine Park Regarding the council proposal for St Mary Island, the council want to have an upgrade project to the place, however, St Mary Island is a conservation area with a variety of habitat and wildlife, therefore a strategy is needed to strike a balance between tourism and wildlife conservation. The research topics on soundscape, habitat management and ecotourism can be the solution for all aspects. although St Mary Island is a popular tourist place with a stunning natural environment and an iconic lighthouse, there is a large potential to upgrade to become a better place for people and wildlife, as to maximize the beauty of nature. Sea, wildlife, and lighthouse may be the first gaze of the place, but people ignore the sound from the place. The power of nature sounds in the place and can be the uniqueness and identity of the land. Inspired by the natural sound on the site that sounds as the medium to make connections between the relationship of humans, the environment and wildlife and that human can dialogue with nature. Thus, the design concept is focusing on soundscape, habitat management and ecotourism.
A memorial park is to regard to the historical background of the sandy ridge cemetery, which is designed for connecting the society, a place for showing care with community engagement, activities, to strengthen the neighborhood environment as to care about the isolated groups. sandy ridge cemetery is the last mass grave of hong kong., there are unidentified deceased who died with no name and no care, the no-named tombstone which obliterates the value of their existence of life. they usually were street sleepers,singleton elderly and missing people, who are isolated groups in the society. therefore, the park is to memorial the unidentified deceased and their existed lifetime to appease their soul by offering sacrifice. through the memorial process which can bring a reflection life journey experience to the visitors.

MEMORIAL TREE By developing the green burial in Hong Kong, it is the bridge to reconnect the relationship between all creature. human life is born from nature, and the decomposition should be back in nature afterlife. Study on alterative burial way to reform the way of death can be sustainable to the environment. Human ashes contain the nutrients of plants required. The main component of cremains is calcium phosphates with some minor minerals. calcium phosphates have the nutritious value, which is one of the common chemical elements in the production of fertilizers. thus, tree burial is a more environmentally friendly way by comparing to the traditional way.
DESIGN CONCEPT The Hopeland (Therapeutic Landscape) Gardens in health care services reflect a recent development towards a broader concept of health and healing. The therapeutic Landscape is proven that help in the recovery process, and it affords positive sensory experiences, physical and psychological well-being. The planting concept is inspired by the fairy tale Peter Pan, bringing inspiring, enlightening and healing to users and making links to the surrounding wildlife and woodland.
DESIGN CONCEPT Three Core Programmes Nature Conservation, Holistic Education and Sustainable Living are constantly evolving as they address different aspects of the challenge to live in harmony with nature. In addition to the many on-site courses, workshops and special events that have been developed for the education and upliftment of visitors.
This is an urban regeneration project inspired by the historical background, the design is based on two Chinese historical figures. In Kennedy Town, Tai Bak Terrace is a historical place, with the development of Kennedy Town. It s one of the Seven Terraces of Sai Wan. It was named after Li Bai, who courtesy Tai Bai. In Ching Lin Terrace, There is a Lo Pan Temple where is the only temple in Hong Kong dedicated to Lo Pan, the patron saint of Chinese builders and carpenters. Lo Pan was a Chinese architect. The location of the temple is hard to visit and discover, which leads to few public knowing the cultural values of Lo Pan contributed it has a need to preserve the culture. Therefore, the design are using red colour for eye-catching and leads the visitor to access the forgotten temple.
