: BEHIND THE WINDOWS The ninth installation of ADAC: Behind the Windows celebrates the latest in Southern style. Warmth, hospitality, and heritage are hallmarks of southern design and the vignette designers, chosen by Traditional Home’s own Ann Maine, are 21st-century embodiments of the region’s best and brightest. One of the defining characteristics of this rising generation of Southern designers is their desire to hew to tradition -- to incorporate ancestral silver and heirloom chintz into modern interiors, and also, to integrate the latest design innovations into classic design. It would be hard to find an edgier pack of young designers, or a group more committed to honoring the past. This combination is a uniquely Southern trait, and one in which to rejoice. To tour this collection of Windows is to witness a thoroughly contemporary riot of color, texture, and form, and to relax into the ways of a beloved, familiar homeland.
