Step beyond the glass into the newest installation of ADAC: The Experience, where you can see, touch and feel each of the pieces included in this designer showcase; all of which are available at ADAC and have been carefully curated by a featured legendary designer.
You’re invited to view the highly-anticipated exhibit, ADAC: Behind the Windows. These six-month installations pair ADAC showrooms with interior designers to create stunning displays showcasing exceptional design talent and product, highlighting a range of styles.
John D. Oetgen established Oetgen Design in 1977. He has been the recipient of numerous honors including the 2000 Southeast Residential Designer of the Year sponsored by ADAC and VERANDA; Top 20 List of American Interior Designers by ELLE DECOR in 1994; and has been named one of the 100 Most Influential Designers in America by House Beautiful every year since 1995. John’s extensive portfolio includes residential projects in New York, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, California, Mexico, Minnesota, Florida, New Mexico and Washington, D.C. In addition to numerous commercial projects, John has created collections of upholstered furniture, fabrics and table settings for prestigious brands including Jerry Pair & Associates, Schumacher, Brunschwig & Fils, Neiman Marcus, and Tiffany & Company.

Among the charity events and projects in which John has participated are the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Garden of Eden Ball for the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. He has designed other parties including the Piedmont Arts Festival Party, Nexus Art Party, the American Threads Exhibit at Rhodes Hall, and vignettes for the High Museum Antiques Show. John has served as cochairman of the opening night party of the Cirque du Soleil, which benefited AID Atlanta and designed the Georgia Power hospitality tent for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. He is a past member of the board of directors for the Atlanta Ballet and has been an active member of the High Museum, Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.

In 2011, Maria was selected as a Home of the Year winner by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, and has received numerous ASID Design Excellence Awards. Clay McLaurin received his MFA in Textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design. In 2003, Clay, along with his partner Todd Piercy, established their Atlanta-based textile company, Clay McLaurin Studio.
