DESIGN COLL ABOR ATIVE
Design Collaborative is an award-winning, interdisciplinary design firm founded in 1992 with the belief that through our work, we can make the world a more beautiful, functional, and well-designed place—one user, one client, one co-worker, one person at a time. Our staff includes architects, engineers, interior designers, cost estimators, graphic designers, and support staff that work collaboratively across disciplines to improve people’s worlds. We believe people are more important than projects, and everyone should love what they do. We believe in digging deep to make a difference every day, and giving back to the communities that have helped us so much. Lastly, we believe in having fun because we take our work seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously!

OUR PROCESS
ASSEMBLE & ASSESS
At Design Collaborative, it’s not just what we do that differentiates us. IT’S HOW WE DO IT. We explore the heart of any space—its people. Their needs, their flow, their motivations and their vision. Our process helps us create spaces and places

that serve and reflect their values—and improve their worlds. And we think that makes for a better outcome, every time.
The foundation of Fingerprint is a full and comprehensive understanding of who you are. Through surveying and studying your entire team and program, and intense assessing of guidelines and standards, we’re able to better understand where you are in your journey—and what’s next.
VOICE & VISION
CONCEPT & CREATE
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Fingerprint’s vision sessions are interactive and engaging opportunities to reflect on where you are, and paint a vivid picture of where you’re going—and why.
Sleeves rolled up, we’re designing. Our creative process is driven by the phases before it, ensuring we’re accurate and inspired at all times.
Together, we’ll learn about your organization’s culture and ideology, articulate the key drivers of design, and define the critical factors of success. Uniquely for you.
Fingerprint keeps you and your team involved at every level, from in-person creative sessions and bubble diagrams through analysis and technical narratives.
Vision begins to become reality in Design Development. The clear and collaborative work that led us here comes to fruition in this phase, as we develop the analyses, plans, and strategies (and cost estimates!) that pave our path to success.

CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION
CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
RETURNS & RESULTS
“The DC is for Detail Connoisseurs.”
During Construction Administration, we manage quality control at every level, through final punch and walkthrough, and beyond— including comprehensive performance review and evaluation. As with every step of Fingerprint, we keep our client relationship at the forefront—communicating clearly and responsively, and managing expectations at every turn.
Fingerprint follows through. Six months after occupancy, we’ll be back to revisit our Assemble & Assess work, arming you with tools to continue to motivate and inspire your workforce, and assessing and reporting on the overall climate and culture. As you grow and flourish, so does our relationship—allowing us to support you even better as you climb your next mountain.
Construction Documentation is where the details drive success. Fortunately, our depth and experience in this discipline is only surpassed by our genuine passion for it. Count on Design Collaborative to set the stage for construction without surprises.

MACH & SITES MEDICAL Office Fit-Out
Connectivity was the biggest goal when designing this office, manufacturing and warehouse space in the orthopedic industry. This new space was an opportunity to support a culture of innovation and bring a newly acquired business into the fold. Blurring the line between old and new businesses, as well as the office and manufacturing space, allows for unprecedented collaboration and access across all office departments and manufacturing teams. As the teams come together, grow, and evolve with the industry, the space will be able to adapt and support the business for many years to come. LOCATION

BARNES & THORNBURG Office Fit-Out
Law firm Barnes and Thornburg wanted an office that promoted connection and interaction between staff and clients. Their previous location consisted of mostly private offices with very limited community spaces. To combat this, we designed a 15,000-sf sophisticated but not opulent space featuring glass walls that allow for privacy and visibility, as well as provide access to natural light. Each room features unique LED light fixtures, as well as a curated art collection. A variety of wood ceilings are placed throughout the office, featuring an individual profile while using the same wood tone. To connect the indoors to the outdoors, one of Indiana’s largest green roofs, Skyline Park, is accessed from the office. The office is designed with an intentional sense of community meant to draw people out of their offices and into shared spaces. LOCATION

STURGES Office Fit-Out
CBRE | Sturges wanted a space that would foster teamwork in an open environment. The office renovation was designed to accommodate on-site staff, as well as hotel space for employees that work remote and are only in the office part-time. The office also functions as a testing lab to inspire their clients and a platform for their many services. The cafe is the heart of their office. Located in the center, it accommodates staff break time, lunch hours, and impromptu client meetings. Colors in the finishes, furniture, and graphic installations are inspired by the CBRE | Sturges brand, and they are coordinated to represent their services. PIZZA HUT Office Fit-Out
Pizza Hut’s regional headquarters fit-out in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne offered the opportunity to tell their history in a more modern way. Their local history inspired design details from trapezoid tile shapes, pizza inspired lighting design, and custom wall graphics derived from the tablecloths used in the restaurants. Together, these subtle branded moments create a cohesive and modern space that will inspire trainees and offer a more collaborative and open office for its current staff.
