We our blinded by our own sight, simply because we seek our desires through the eyes of others. What we believe is our destination, is most likely the end result of someone else's control. And, to add fuel to the fire, this someone else can ultimately become a self-fabrication of what we call "ourselves". In order to see our truth, the seeker must be removed.
________________________________________________ The Beginning It starts with a couple of men in their mid-twenties who respond to a newspaper ad offering a week-long scavenger hunt. The adventure comes with the promise of a sizable cash prize. These men have everything they want in life. Lots of money, nice cars, good looks and high social profiles within their local night club scene. They are looking for adventure, something more outside of their living norm, simply because they have accomplished so much sociological and material success. To put it bluntly, they want more so they can feel better about themselves. The two men respond to the ad, get registered via email, and are given details about the hunt. They are then instructed to travel to certain locations and solve puzzles so they can ultimately arrive at the final stage and obtain the cash prize. They are told that there are other groups competing along with them. And, that the first team who solves all of the puzzles, reaches all locations, and performs all of the required tasks, wins. The men look at each other and laugh, in arrogance, at this last statement as they read it on the advertisement. They know no one is better, more qualified or as The Tessera Method Copyright 2011 Adam King All rights reserved www.TesseraMethod.com
smart as they are. They act is if whomever wrote the ad had no idea who they would be dealing with. Nothing could be further from the truth. As the they begin their hunt, they are met with challenges and puzzles along the way that result in them locating and obtaining certain artifacts and objects. They are then given instructions to leave those objects at the following locations, and document their progress via photographs, (text and picture message, etc) to the administrator's email. This allows them to prove that they have reached that particular location and have successfully accomplished the task. Once the task is complete, they are given verification by text message or email, and are then instructed to move onto the next challenge. ________________________________________________ After several days of successful puzzle solving, the two men find themselves at the proverbial "X" that marks the spot. This is a heavily wooded area located in the middle of nowhere, far from any city or town. With two of the objects they have picked up from the last location, (in this case a shovel and old rusty army bayonet) they begin to dig in the exact spot that marks the location for their assumed buried treasure. Shortly after they start digging, they uncover a small box that contains what they think will be their hefty cash prize. Instead, the box contains a note acknowledging that they have won, a post office box address, and a key for the PO box. They are instructed to leave the shovel and bayonet in the hole where they found the box, and move on to claim their prize. They notice that the PO box is almost exactly where they started from, which is at least a two day drive. Nonetheless, they are excited that they have won and can't wait to see what is in that box. The Tessera Method Copyright 2011 Adam King All rights reserved www.TesseraMethod.com
Once again, they take a picture proving their location, text message/email it to the administrator and head out for their final destination. Turning Point At this point in the story, our two characters know they have won. They realize that if they hadn't, then the other teams would have gotten to the buried box first and they would find nothing more than an empty hole in the ground. But, because they have won, they gloat and brag the entire trip back. They talk about how smart they are and how no one even came close to beating them. As a matter of fact, for the entire five days during the scavenger hunt, they had never even seen any of the other participants. They would ask people at each location if they saw anyone else asking the same questions about the hunt, only to be greeted with looks of confusion. Because of this, their fame and acknowledgement of being better, is almost a big enough payoff as the anticipation of receiving the large cash prize.
The Question There is only one question, and one answer before. If you get this wrong, you will be disqualified. If you get this right, you will gain the greatest gift of mankind. Perspective. Do you have any questions before we begin? Good, what is your answer? The Tessera Method Copyright 2011 Adam King All rights reserved www.TesseraMethod.com
If you look at the puzzle above, it can become discouraging. Discouraging in the fact that you are almost guaranteed to look outside of yourself in order to find the answer. The lesson, in fact, is perspective. The question, in fact, is perspective. Without it, you have nothing. But with it, you have everything. So, what is the answer? The truth is, "I" do not know, but you do. This is the core for most of our constraints. We continue to look outside of ourselves for answers, but without the right perspective. And then, when we look inward, we continue to find the perspective of others and not ourselves. Have you ever been talking with someone and not been present? Just standing there, watching their mouths move as they went on and on. Or, were you more engaged when they were listening? Were you more engaged with THEM, when you were the one talking? This is a powerful lesson in which most of us get it wrong. We continue to fear what others think. We continue to fear rejection if we are not accepted. And because of this, we continue to relinquish control away from our true selves. So, once again, what is the answer to the question? Finale Almost two days of driving pass, as the two men reach their final post office destination. They quickly run in and start looking for the box number that fits the key. In excitement, the man fumbles with the key as he tries to open the box, while the other man peers impatiently over his shoulder. "What have we won!", he shouts. "What is it?" "I don't know yet, let me see", the other man says. The Tessera Method Copyright 2011 Adam King All rights reserved www.TesseraMethod.com
Finally opening the box, the man looks puzzled as he goes over its contents. It is obviously not the prize. Instead, it's a piece of paper with a phone number on it, a photograph, and a newspaper article. As he looks at the photograph and then reads the news paper article, his face turns white. The objects slip out of his hands as his body falls against the wall. Looking puzzled, his partner picks up the three items and quickly goes over them. In disbelief, he now sees for himself the horror that these three items reveal. ________________________________________________ Okay, before I go on, I want you to stop and think for a second. I want you to take a mental note on what's going on in your own mind and within your body. I want you to ask yourself, what do you think is coming next? What do you think the newspaper article is going to say? What do you think the photograph is a picture of? I want you to take note of the feelings within your body and your mind. Do you feel anxious, or excitement to find out what's happening? Maybe even a little nervousness for these two men? And finally, what conclusions have you come up with? I want you to seriously take a step back and note all of the feelings and thoughts going through your body and mind. Even write them down because right now, right here, your lesson starts. Before I tell you what the three items are, and the answer to your question above, I want you to once again check what you're thinking and feeling. What conclusions have you come up with and what feelings are resonating within your body and mind? Okay, here's the finale. What you are experiencing right now is called Gap Theory. Gap Theory in short, is the empty space that forces our curiosity. It's the part in the story, the movie, or in life, that causes us to focus entirely on what's coming next. The Tessera Method Copyright 2011 Adam King All rights reserved www.TesseraMethod.com
It grips us, keeps us from focusing elsewhere, and is the leading cause of excitement for what's to come. But, for its purpose here, for you as the reader, there's another more profound lesson to be learned. This lesson, the act of filling in what's missing, is called Confabulation. So let's consider this as we move forward. If you can remember, I told you that when the men found an object, or reached a certain location, they would have to document their success with a picture as well as email/text message to the administrator's email address. They were then instructed to place each object and photograph of their prior location at the proceeding location. So, the picture for you should be easy. It's simply a picture of the two men at the last location. This was the thick wooded area with the two of them standing next to the hole they just dug, holding a shovel and an old rusty army bayonet. In this case, the murder weapon. Some of you got that didn't you? How did that feel? To be right? Please continue... The picture proves the men were at the location of the murder as it shows them standing there in broad daylight. Second, the newspaper article is about a person who was murdered, which you guessed it, happened at the very same location just two days before the men left to arrive at the PO box. In this case, just after the men left the area.

The Lesson I am giving you this information as if I were feeding a hungry stomach. Simply because a gap like this in a story, can literally control us until we can get the answers we seek. We talk about this as Automatic Processing, and Automatic Negative Processing. This is a cycle of thought, or a question (an itch) that needs to be answered, or concluded (to be scratched) in order to stop. As we go through this story, we only have our own perspective. But, if we look through the eyes of the two men, we never could have seen it coming. They were at the very least, arrogant and self-centered going into this game. They had taken on the identity of being smarter, and better, than anyone else. This arrogance, or "secondary code identity", narrowed their ability to see any signs outside of themselves. My intention here isn't to confuse you with big terms, or definitions. It's to help give you perspective so you can be more prepared for Tessera. It's to allow you to be open and aware, so when your demons come out (arrogance, greed, self-centeredness, etc), you will be aware of them. It is so you will know the truth before you, and have the ability to make a choice, not just have the answers.

Occam's Razor This story is called Occam's razor. It is a theory that the simplest, or most obvious explanation or solution, is almost always the right one. But, in this case, the situation doesn't become present because of the blindness of the observers, i.e. the two men. Simply because they are blinded by their own secondary codes. So, if someone wants us to come to a conclusion that is driven by our own arrogant desires, they will almost always have power over us. ALWAYS. In this case, the true murderer had control over the men as his control was in the form of a scavenger hunt promising a big cash prize, which directly challenged their arrogant identities. i.e. "And that the first team who solves all of the puzzles, reaches all locations and performs all of the required tasks, wins." Their arrogance, "They act is if whomever wrote the ad had no idea who they would be dealing with", was ultimately what blinded them into becoming a scapegoat controlled by someone they had never, even, met. The conclusion? The two men were suckered into helping a murderer cover up his/her crime. The story can go in a multitude of directions from there, but the lesson is the same. Who is in control of you? Who is making the choices?
The Tessera Method Copyright 2011 Adam King All rights reserved www.TesseraMethod.com
The Question Revealed So, what was the answer to the question you ask? You didn't ask, that's the point. "There can be only one question, and one answer." "Do you have any questions before we begin?" "If so, what's the answer?" The answer is no, you did not have any questions. And if you did, you would also know the answer to that question. ________________________________________________ Final Notes I hope this has helped open your mind to possibility. Because, if we are going to make choices that can help improve our lives, it is crucial that we are not blinded by trying to find answers to questions that are not our own. If you are going to question, understand the true choices that you wish to make. Otherwise, they are not your choices at all. Warm Regards, Adam
