Studio Ceramics 2024

Half way through our auction calendar and already 2024 has been a bumper year for studio ceramics sales at Adam Partridge Auctioneers & Valuers. In our first auction in January, we were pleased to offer a large and diverse range of work reflecting much of the collecting life of Michael Evans, a.k.a Dayabandhu. Our spring auction, with over 650 lots, also had plenty for collectors and enthusiasts to choose from, the star lot being a vessel by John Ward selling for a remarkable hammer price of £18,500.

We are still consigning for our summer auction on 19th July, which as usual will feature a broad range of works from the pioneers of the studio pottery movement to some of the current generation of ceramicists working today. This will be followed by our regular autumn sale on 15th November. Both the summer and autumn auctions will include a large selection of pots and paintings from the estate of Robin Welch.

In this booklet you will find further information about the remaining studio ceramics sales in 2024 and some of the highlights from earlier in the year.
