Good Looking Out Stop Six (GLOSS) Announces "Concert for a Cause" Fundraiser Fort Worth, Texas, February 16, 2012. Good Looking Out Stop Six announced the kickoff of its community fundraising initiative with the Concert for a Cause event, scheduled for Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 7pm. CT The concert will be at the Brighter Outlook Community Center in Fort Worth, Texas’, historic Stop Six neighborhood. The center is at 4910 Dunbar St. (at Effie). Concert for a Cause was created to help raise funds for four children, with ties to the Stop Six community who, last January, suddenly lost their mother to a rare pregnancy-onset Leukemia. Brandy Hill was the daughter of parents who are graduates of Stop Six’s Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Her husband of almost eight years is left alone to raise children who are 14, 7, 4 and 2 years old Fellow members of Brandy’s mother’s Dunbar Class of 1979, decided to head up a “sustainable fundraising initiative” to assist with the children’s daily expenses. Concert With a Cause will feature performances by.National Recording Artist/Bassist Rick Rigsby & the StopSix Band. Special guests will include Smooth Jazz Recording Artist/Saxaphonist Joseph Vincelli. Vocalist/recording artist Gwen GiGi Gray, also a Stop Six native will be featured. Soul/Neo-Soul/R&B/Word Music vocalist Liza Ellen is also scheduled to appear. Media personality Lynne Haze will host the concert and vocal duo Yarbrough and Peoples will be in attendance. GLOSS communications representative D.J. Adams said, “It’s a ‘rent party!’ In times past, members of a community like Stop Six knew that when times got tougher than usual, they couldn’t count on outside help. So, a group would put together what little they could spare and drop it in the ‘rent jar” at a house party. Everyone would have a good time and someone would get helped. The concert and upcoming ‘Wobble” event are our way of reminding the community how it’s done. Our hope is that another community organization will be inspired and organize the next one.” Rigsby, founder of Rigsby Entertainment, volunteered the professional services of his group and arranged all the talent for the show. Adams said, “I knew Rick Rigsby is a busy, nationally known artist/producer/manager. So, I was hesitant when first approaching him about the concert. He was actually on stage at a popular local venue, about to perform. I quickly told him about the concept and he immediately pledged his participation and support. His dedication to community is extraordinary. We’re blessed to have such an accomplished artist and cool guy on board. This couldn’t happen without generous support from music industry pros like Rick and Frederick Nichelson of North-Texas-based Nichelson Entertainment. We're also thankful for some super support from the Fort Worth Independent School District.” Good Looking Out Stop Six (GLOSS) is a community fundraising effort, created and spearheaded, but not limited to, members of Stop Six’s (Fort Worth, TX) Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Class of 1979. The purpose of GLOSS is to set precedence for creating self-sustaining resources for those with Stop Six community ties, who are in need. www.facebook.com/GoodLookingOutStop6 ### Interactive Advertising.
