How to download PDF documents to an iPhone/iPod Touch device Via email 1. Set up iPhone to access Mednet email. For more information click here. 2. Create a folder in Mednet webmail: a. Login to https://mail.mednet.ucla.edu/ b. Click on the “Manage folders” from the left menu c. Click on your name under the Create folder in drop down menu. d. Type in the name of the folder you want to create, and press Create. 3. Go to: http://www.medsch.ucla.edu/mobile/resources/resources.htm 4. Download PDF documents to your computer. 5. Email the downloaded PDF documents to yourself. 6. Retrieve and fully download all the email messages from your iPhone. 7. Store email messages to the folder you created. a. Open the specified email. b. Tap the folder icon. c. Select the folder where you want to store the message. NOTE: Once email messages and their attachments are fully downloaded and stored in a folder other than the Inbox, you will be able to read and access them at anytime even when you are offline. Via native PDF reader app 1. Download Adobe Reader From iPhone: a. Tap App Store on your iPhone. b. Tap Search and enter Adobe reader in the search field. c. Tap on the application from the search result list. d. On the information page, tap the Free button and Install App. e. Sign in to your iTunes account as requested, then tap OK. From a computer: a. Open iTunes on your computer. b. Click on iTunes Store on the left column. c. Enter Adobe reader in the search field located on the top right. d. Click on the application from the search result list. e. Click on Free App button f. Sign in to your iTunes account as requested. g. Connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer h. In iTunes, select iPhone or iPod touch (below Devices), and then click the Applications tab. i. Select Sync Applications and then select the applications you want to sync. j. Click Apply and then click Sync. NOTE: If you don’t have an iTunes Store account, tap Create New Account to set one up. 2. Open Safari browser and enter the following URL: 1

NOTE: Once pdf files are stored in Adobe Reader app, you will be able to read and access them at anytime even when you are offline.
