Thora is a collaborative entry for the SSEF student design
competition, placing in the top ten in Canada. The competion theme was biomimicry with steel structure.
The pavilion mirrors insectoid structure, employing a distinct hierarchy of members and materials. Thora provides a respite from characteristic Vancouver showers, while providing a stunning view of Coal Harbor from Stanley Park.

interface+experience architectural model archive in downtown toronto
interface+experience is a Canadian Council of Architects archival outpost. Taking the visual nature of architectural models into account, an emphasis was placed on creating an internal topography within which the models would be experienced. With close proximity to both the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Ontario College of Art and Design, ease of access and an inviting facade were paramount design priorities. Minimalist interior detailing and glass curtain walls present the archive as a display case, open to every passer-by to explore.

Artist’s Residence functions as temporary accomadation provided to local
visual artists to live and work in at 4-month increments. A linear plan with minimal interuption was adapted to form a contiguous live-work space. The studio recieves optimal diffuse lighting, while the slats along the facade create dramatic beams along the structure at sunrise and sunset.
