current activity current conditions create points of activity around the theater district. people do not move from venue to venue instead people go to one location and leave the city afterwards.
proposed activity proposed design connects the space in between the areas of large population. the theater and performance college will connect the surrounding areas and create a constant flow of pedestrian activity.

Arch
truss the extension element acts as one large truss allowing for a cantilever to extend out over the pedestrian sidewalk.
21 web structure the structure is comprised of steel tubing that wraps the spaces to create a solid enclosure. the pattern takes the shape of a web by creating diagonal members and triangular panels. the structure is thickest where it is needed most, and thinnest where the loads are small. this is a reactive system to accommodate for loads in specific areas.
