UPDATES FROM AFRICA...
First Nasio Orphan Graduates
More Tanzania Water Tanks
We celebrated the success of Japheth, the first Nasio supported child to graduate with a degree. He was awarded a bachelor in education at a ceremony attended by over 3,000 people.
Thanks to the generosity of Abingdon Rotary we were able to install further water tanks to the community of Oldonyo Sambu in Tanzania. This will provide safe drinking water to families, many of whom have been seriously affected by naturally occurring excessive fluoride levels in the ground water.
Graduation Day! We celebrate their achievement together and wish them all the luck in their new endeavour.
Japheth has been supported following the death of both his parents and his younger brother in 2009. Through the tragedy of his early life he struggled, but with the support of Nasio he persevered saying “you will fail if you concentrate on the closed door and you will only succeed if you look up and explore the doors that have been opened by God”. “I want to thank the Trust for the support and for believing in me. I dedicate this achievement to everyone who made it happen”
