BRONZE LEVEL COURSE REP

Core Elements (All must be completed) Please note all activities require evidential proof 1. New Reps to attend LiverpoolSU Course Rep Training/ Returning Reps to attend LiverpoolSU Volunteer Conference 2. Attend all meetings expected of you – This includes Boards of Study (BoS) and Student Staff Consulting Committees (SSCC) 3. If you are unable to attend any of the meetings listed above you must send your apologies and wherever possible student feedback

SILVER LEVEL COURSE REP

1. New Reps to attend LiverpoolSU Course Rep Training/ Returning Reps to attend LiverpoolSU Volunteer Conference 2. Attend all meetings expected of you – This includes Boards of Study (BoS) and Student Staff Consulting Committees (SSCC) 3. If you are unable to attend any of the meetings listed above you must send your apologies and wherever possible student feedback 4. Make a change – This is a change that has a positive impact on your course and / for the students on your course (examples can be found on the page below)

GOLD LEVEL COURSE REP

1. New Reps to attend LiverpoolSU Course Rep Training/ Returning Reps to attend LiverpoolSU Volunteer Conference 2. Attend all meetings expected of you – This includes Boards of Study (BoS) and Student Staff Consulting Committees (SSCC) 3. If you are unable to attend any of the meetings listed above you must send your apologies and wherever possible student feedback 4. Make a change – This is a change that has a positive impact on your course and / for the students on your course (examples can be found on the page below) 5. Attend three additional Course Rep related events/activities held by, or in conjunction with, LiverpoolSU (examples can be found on the page below)

LiverpoolSU Course Rep Accreditation Scheme Bronze Level ‘Attend LiverpoolSU Course Rep Training’ – Training will run throughout October. You can sign up to training via www.liverpoolsu.com/coursereptraining - please ensure you register with the LiverpoolSU website first.

‘Attend all meetings expected of you’ – When you have attended a BoS/SSCC meeting, LiverpoolSU will be able to confirm your attendance with the chairs.

Please note: Once you have completed training, and your attendance at meetings has been confirmed it will go towards Bronze Level accreditation.

LiverpoolSU Course Rep Accreditation Scheme Silver Level ‘Make a Change’ Examples of Course Rep Positive Impact They conducted a survey amongst students which resulted in the course staff instating a Personal Tutor who had not been replaced.

A feedback request for sharper knives or a lesson in knife sharpening resulted in a knife skills session for students.

Worked with both students and lecturers to address lecture disruptions by small group of students by ensuring all Course Reps were involved and gathering student’s views regarding the situation.

Changed a lecture from Wednesday to Tuesday to accommodate students who were working and commuting.

Based on student feedback, and working with staff, they helped change a deadline due to assessment bunching.

Helped ensure students received additional calculation preparation, as two lectures took on the responsibility once the students concern was raised.
