We started our journey 10 years ago; I still remember that December of 2004 when our first pageant was being held at the Legendary Stardust Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. More than a decade is a long period; The Hotel Stardust was imploded, almost three presidential terms, three Olympic Games, and three Soccer World Cups have been played, but for me time has elapsed too fast. I have enjoyed it so much with great pride for our accomplishments in the pageantry industry, and having witnessed young Mexican women accomplished so much, gives me the strength to carry on. The Señorita Mexico U.S. beauty pageant did not come about because there was a great financial opportunity; it did not come about because there was a chance to gain great popularity and honor, but it did come about because there was a commitment to prepare young Mexican women as promoters of health, fitness and inner beauty, it came about because it is a wonderful platform for producing positive role models; to develop Hispanic leaders that promote self-confidence, self-worth, moral, academic and social support for our youth; and to publicly recognize those who have obtained personal, professional and community achievements.
Contestants who participated in our pageants, specially our title holders, have moved fast in the professional later of progress; they have gone from achieving a successful career in the media either as reporters or anchors, journalists, fitting in the system as politics activists, entrepreneurs, public relation & advertising practitioners and some becoming renowned International Models. During these 10 years we have gone from a local event to a national pageant with franchises in International beauty events like The Miss Globe International, where our title holders travel to Easter Europe to compete with hundreds of contestants from all over the world. Of course, there have been some ups and downs - but I must confess that the former greatly outnumbered the latter. On behalf of the Señorita Mexico U.S. beauty pageant 10 years of existence, its famous Trademarks Señorita Mexico, Señorita Mexico U.S. and its franchise Miss Globe Mexico U.S, today, I am offering to raise our glasses for accomplishment and success, the foundation stone of any enterprise, and hope to see you at our next crowning ceremony whenever and wherever it gets held. Please receive a warm greeting this holiday and best wishes for a very successful 2015. Bottoms up!

The new film The Liberator is an attempt to bring the epicstory of Simon Bolivar, the George Washington of Latin America, to international audiences. Directed by Venezuelan filmmaker Alberto Arvelo, it's one of the most expensive Latin American productions to date and features epic battle scenes, rousing speeches and stunning landscapes in the spirit of historical epics like Braveheart. The film will represent Venezuela in the best foreign film category at The 2015 Oscars Bolivar liberated six Latin American countries including his native Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivua from Spanish rule in the early 19th century and dreamed of forming a unified Latin America. Although he died almost 200 years ago, his legacy lives on in the politics and artistic life of the continent today. The Liberator was independently financed by Spanish and Venezuelan producers, and its wide release speaks to an attempt by the filmmakers to make a global Spanish-language epic. Edgar Ramirez Arellano is a Venezuelan actor, born on March 25th, 1977 in the city of San Cristobal (Tachira State, Southwest Venezuela). He is an emerging star of both independent and Hollywood cinema, features an international cast and has an original score written by renowned Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel. In the U.S., the film will be shown in art-house cinemas in cities like New York and Los Angeles, as well as in Spanishspeaking communities in California and Texas. The Liberator does a very good job of being entertaining and giving an interesting piece of Latin American history .

Setareh grew up in Santa Clarita Valley, California. It is no surprise that Setareh has always stood out considering her exotic nationality as a Mexican/ Iranian. Although her parents divorced she has always seen her parent’s relationship as a symbol of hope. She started participating in pageants since the age of 3 and performed for the first time on her own during her 6th grade Variety show. In high school she achieved to be a part of the prestigious competitive Show Choir team for the rest of her high school career, also becoming a thespian and an outstanding Improve troop member. Setareh also won the title of Miss Teen Valencia and First runner up for Miss Teen Santa Clarita Valley during her high school years. Setareh attended “College of the Canyons” participating in many musicals and theatre shows, In 2012 Setareh participated in the Miss California USA pageant winning the title of “Best in Swim Suit” out of almost over 300 pre-selected participants. That same year she auditioned for the 8 million viewer televised pageant “Nuestra Belleza Latina 2012” and her story and talents touched many lives leading to her winning first runner up by public vote and becoming reputable for her humility, perseverance and authenticity. Setareh worked on longest running television show “Sabado Gigante” on Univision Network. Trough her training of becoming a Yoga Instructor Setareh has come to believe that every person we come across in our journey is a teacher to us. Miss Globe International is a beauty contest organized by the Miss Globe organization, a group that holds the rights of different titles, which include "Miss Globe", "Miss Globe International", "Miss Globe Beauty Pageant", and "Miss Globe Beauty". Miss Globe International is the oldest known International beauty competition. It began in 1925, and this year her Queen number 89 was crowned. The pageant was held in the beautiful city of Baku capital of Azerbaijan with the participation of up to 118 countries including representatives from all Latin American countries.
Jocell Villa who was crowned Miss Mexico U.S. in previous years traveled to Azerbaijan on behalf of the Miss Mexico organization to represent the beauty of Mexican women living in the United States. The stunning Mexican beauty Jocell Villa represented the beauty of The Mexican woman who lives in the United states of America in The Miss Globe International this year, because Setareh Khatibi Miss Mexico U.S. 2013/2014, could not travel due to artistic television commitments. The beautiful State of Sinaloa’s origin Jocell arrived in Baku on the 29th August 2014 and stayed over 20 days in this exotic European paradise. The competition was held on September 14th , and was televised by FOX international network. This achievement gains more recognition considering the fact that during her entire stay including the crowning night, Jocell did not have her wardrobe. Jocell's luggage with all her outfits, evening gowns, cocktel dresses, jewelry, shoes and even her beautiful traditional costume never arrived to Azerbaijan, lost by the Tukish Airlines airline who to this date has not assumed its responsibility for loosing Jocell’s luggage. Jocell found, however something even more inspiring, the generosity and Fellowship of the other contestants who provided her with different outfits to be able to participate in the activities of the competition. Esma Voloder from Australia, was crowned the 89th Miss Globe International, Sheislane Dos Santos Reis from Brazil was the first runner up, Jocell came among the finalists and was titled Miss Elegance. The success achieved by Jocell in this international beauty event, is also the realization of all those who have year after year maintained the Miss Mexico U.S. beauty pageant in a constant path of prosperity. Being part of stories like Jocell’s, forces us to keep the contest Señorita Mexico U.S. at the level of the larger beauty events in the continent, perfectly harmonizing with the oldest beauty pageant on the planet: the Miss Globe International.
