For young Adelaide boy Michael Griffiths, coming of age in the ‘80s and coming out in the ‘90s was a real time. Long before marriage equality and social media, pop songs were a safe space to explore being queer and Pet Shop Boys provided a soundtrack to a gay new world.

In this global premiere, the Helpmann Award winner takes a very personal deep dive into these modern-day queer poets and their songs, exploring the melancholy and romance of being different. Directed by Helpmann Award winner Dean Bryant (The Normal Heart).
