Letter from your President

Hey Key Clubbers! I’m so excited for the year to come. Based on these last two months that we have had Key Club, I can tell that we are going to have an amazing year filled with awesome service projects and fundraisers! I look forward to working with each and every one of you in the many more opportunities available to our club. Key club has opened so many doors for me and allowed me to meet some amazing people from our community. One of the service projects I am really looking forward to this year is the pen pal letters with the Jefferson Elementary students. I can honestly say that receiving their letters were the highlight of my day. Lastly, I just wanted to acknowledge Addisyn for making this awesome newsletter!!!

My Friends Place Food Drive

This year, a group of great key clubbers gathered at Badger Mountain Park to knock on doors and ask people to donate canned foods for My Friends Place. These key clubbers worked great with their teams and had collected a great amount of canned foods. After the food drive was over, the canned foods were successfully driven over to My Friends Place.

Bake Sale

This was another successful year doing the bakesale. Thanks to Viera’s Bakery, we made around $80.00! This $80.00 can be used to help Key Clubbers pay for dues, DCON, and or anything needed for our club. Thank you to everyone who came and stepped up to help. We could have not done it without you! If you would like to participate in next years’ bake sale, make sure to watch out for service projects posted on our bulletin board located in Mrs. Burkes room.

Trick-or-Treat on the Trail

Just like last year, Delta High School Key Club joined together with other volunteers at Badger mountain park to help put on Trick-or-Treat on the Trail. Some key clubbers hiked up Badger to their designated check point, and handed out prizes for the children in costumes hiking up. There were several fun games at the park. One included being wrapped as a mummy! Thank you to all who came!

Trick-or-Treat for Unicef

On Halloween night‌a group of courageous Key Clubbers set off in their ninja turtle costumes, going door-to-door asking for money to donate towards UNICEF. As a team, these key clubbers mapped out this Kennewick neighborhood and made sure to hit all designated houses. Because of everyone’s team effort, we managed to collect over $200.00! What another great year. Great job ninja-turtles!
