Pride blooms in Hancock as town revitalizes By  JOHN  FLOWERS HANCOCK  â€”  In  2011  Tropical  Storm  Irene  steamrolled  through  the  town  of  Hancock,  deliv-­ ering  a  series  of  potent  haymakers  to  many  of  its  roads,  culverts  and,  to  a  certain  extent,  commu-­ nity  morale. WRZQ RI UHVLGHQWV LV RQ D ¿UP URDG WR UHFRY-­ ery,  a  renaissance  that  has  produced  an  improved  and  expanded  town  green,  an  imminent  reloca-­ WLRQ RI WKH PXQLFLSDO RI¿FHV WR D UHFODLPHG IRU-­ mer  schoolhouse,  and  ongoing  renovations  to  the  historic  Hancock  General  Store  building  near  the  intersection  of  Routes  125  and  100.
