Welc Welcome to the 3rd Annual Burgod Ranch Simmental Bull Sale. 2020 proved to be a very interesting year that created many challenges for the livestock industry. One thing that didn’t slow down was the genetic advancements made here at the ranch. The bulls in this year’s sale I believe to be the most elite front-end bulls of this year’s crop across the whole ranch. I have put my focus to meet the needs of the commercial cattleman. All the steers and heifers get backgrounded here at the ranch. The heifers that are retained for in herd use are closely selected for traits to enhance the genetic profile and performance of the herd. With this knowledge of how our genetics are performing really gives us an advantage when selecting genetics to offer our customers. When selecting bulls for the sale I chose some of the longest sided, highest performing, and moderate birthweight bulls all in a moderate to large frame package. These bulls are backed by proven performing mothers, most of which have daughters that have been put back in the herd. I believe these bulls to add the most value to your operation by increasing weaning weights and increasing on feed performance because in the end, pounds pay! There will be no sale order and all bulls will sell in catalog order. I have placed some of the more standout bulls towards the front of the catalog, but I believe each bull in this sale offers a little something different to fit almost every cattlemen’s needs. DNA test have been taken on the bulls and ALL bulls will be GGP-100K tested. Coat Color and Polled test results along with carcass ultrasound data will be available sale day. Bulls Kept at Burgod Ranch Delivery will begin after April 15th. Free delivery on all bulls up to 100 miles. Free delivery up to 200 miles on bulls $5,000 or greater.

Herd Health
Bulls will be semen tested and fully vaccinated at my expense prior to delivery.

I take great pride in the health of all animals on the ranch. All the herd health has all been done through the Hosmer Veterinary Clinic. The Bulls have received four rounds of vaccinations including birth, turnout, pre-weaning, and post weaning booster vaccinations. With this being said, every bull is in top notch health. I will include feed information under the health section, because I believe proper nutrition is the absolute key to good health. The bulls have been fed a ration, balanced through Dakotaland Feeds. This ration consists of alfalfa hay, grass hay, corn silage, wet corn, modified distillers, and a liquid supplement. They have been fed just right to show their true genetic performance, all while maintaining structural soundness.
Lot 15 as a calf
Guaranteed to pass their semen test, full cash back with failed test. If a bull is injured and unable to breed, you will receive ½ of the purchase price cash back and ½ of the purchase price credit to be used on the 2022 sale. In both instances, ownership of the bull will be retained. Bulls Taken Home Sale Day Buyer will receive $100 off, per bull. Bulls will be guaranteed to pass their semen test - done by the buyer’s veterinarian at the buyer’s expense. Buyer is responsible for all injuries and accidents while in the buyer’s care. Guarantee will not stand if a post-sale injury occurs, causing them to fail their semen test or makes them unable to breed.
