FRINGE CLUB: BY NIGHT If the stage is your workspace, and the dressing room is your bedroom, then Fringe Club is definitely your lounge room. Come hang out under the stars in FERNANDO’S HIDEWAY, see some live music in FREQUENCY and discover performances from your fellow Fringe Artists at FRANK’S PLACE. Relax and unwind after a day of flyering and performing, grab a drink or bite to eat, have a dance and make some new friends. With exclusive programming every evening, no two nights will ever be the same!

ONE NEW NOTIFICATION Every Tuesday, 10pm – 1am

In this day of technology, how do you meet people? How do you tear someone away from their digital devices and their social media's to engage, connect and inspire? Gang, we have the answer and it’s in the form of our new night: One New Notification! Everyone that comes to Fringe Club on Tuesday 10pm – 1am will be given a number. All you have to do is look for their number, write them a little note and pop it into one of the designated letterboxes. Grab a drink and then let us work our magic! Our Fringe Club host will let you know if you have mail to collect, and then the rest is up to you! Best part, it doesn’t eat up any of your precious phone battery! We will be also celebrating all things NEW, so if you are new to the festival, new to Adelaide, or are showing new work – this is your opportunity to come and connect with your peers.

We are all destined for greatness, and sometimes that greatness comes in the form of spinning tracks. Get in touch and let us know if you want to play some sweet, sweet music for all your pals at Fringe Club. Email fringeclub@adelaidefringe.com.au.

Everyone Has the Right to Shine Bright

Adelaide Fringe is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone at Fringe Club (regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion). Fringe Club is a place where we come together to celebrate our differences. If you, or someone around you is having a tough time, look for one of our STAR CADETS and let them know.

FRANK FORD APPRECIATION NIGHTS Every Tuesday, from 10pm

In 2018, we sadly lost the founder of Adelaide Fringe, FRANK FORD AM. He was a champion for all artists, and it’s only fitting we pay tribute to all his efforts. Over two nights we fill the Club with sights and sounds, toasting the night away and paying tribute to the legacy this man paved for us in 1960.

You can check and schedule sales reports, manage your complimentary tickets and add HalfTIX. Visit mmt.adelaidefringe.com.au and login using your report access login! Questions? Email ticketing@adelaidefringe.com.au or call us on 8100 2012. Your reporting access logins are listed on your My Festival dashboard in the AVR.

HalfTIX For last minute sales, you can offer a limited number of tickets at half price. HalfTIX are available to purchase between 12pm – 3pm daily for events performing that night, and for events performing before 3pm on the following day. All events offering HalfTIX are promoted at FringeTIX box offices, in dedicated subscriber emails and on adelaidefringe.com.au. 11

TICKETING REPORTS & EVENT CHANGES Sales Reports To access your sales reports head to our new look Manage My Tix at mmt.adelaidefringe.com.au. Your reporting access logins are listed on your My Festival dashboard in the AVR. How-to documents can be located in the Resources section of AVR. Customer Door List Report At 60 minutes before the start of your show, all tickets will go off sale to FringeTIX. At this point you will need to pull a final Customer Door List. This report will show you who has purchased tickets or has complimentary tickets to your performance. Customers will either have ‘Printed’ or ‘Not Printed’ listed against their name. Customers with ‘Not Printed’ have nominated to collect tickets at the venue Box Office. Simply admit these patrons by ticking their name off on the report, or purchase raffle tickets for your front-of-house to use. Problems at the door? Please call us on 8100 2012. We are on hand to help you until 10pm every night of the festival! Adelaide Fringe Box Office Settlement Report This report displays your total sales less ticketing fees and charges. The amount displayed in the ‘Net Value’ column is what will be paid to you from Adelaide Fringe at box office settlement time.

e-Ticketing Adelaide Fringe is introducing e-ticketing through the use of QR codes in 2019! Customers can elect to have e-tickets sent to them via email, rather than collecting tickets in advance or from the venue box office. As an artist or venue, not much will change for you in the way of admitting customers at the door, however you might have lots more people displaying their order confirmations on their phone, rather than arriving with a print out or physical ticket! We are trying to reduce the amount of paper printed and tickets used by our customers. Don’t forget to print out or have your customer door list report on a tablet or laptop so that you can sight people’s order confirmations and admit them into the show. A few venues will be trialling the scanning of tickets in 2019, which we plan to roll out further in future Fringes. Event Changes and Cancellations Email your request to ticketing@adelaidefringe.com.au or visit the staff in FringeWORKS in the Fringe Club. Please notify us with as much time as possible so that we can tell your customers. We will do our best to move them to another of your performances, but customers are entitled to a refund in the event of a cancellation. Cancelled sessions / events will be marked as cancelled on the website, and staff will then contact any patrons who have purchased tickets to the session to arrange a refund on your behalf. FringeTIX retains the artist inside charge on all tickets refunded as a result of a cancellation. In the spirit of Fringe, we do encourage you to go ahead with your event even if there are only a few audience members.

We have a dedicated Ticketing team, available to assist you with anything ticketing related. We are on the phones and email from 8am ‘til 10pm every day of the Fringe and in FringeWORKS each day until 8pm!

ADELAIDE'S INTERNATIONAL ARTS MARKETPLACE

Olga Nowicka Marketplace Coordinator

Honey Pot is a connector – supporting the connection between Fringe Artists/Companies, with an exciting and eclectic group of professional delegates. It represents presenters, programmers and producers of festivals and venues, event planners, talent scouts and film/media reps from around the world. In 2019, we have received a record number of delegates interested in attending across various times over the Fringe. They will see shows, network, and build relationships with artists who have likeminded projects and styles that suit their programming or audience development initiatives. Now in its 12th year, the program’s prime objective is to provide a platform and environment where productive relationships are established and projects develop a life beyond the Fringe season. This may be in the shape of a future presentation, national or international tour; a collaboration or commission; a residency or development of a new or existing project; or simply the beginning of a beautiful (and fruitful) friendship. The Honey Pot office is located upstairs in the Fringe Club and will open daily 10am – 6pm. Drop by for a chat with one of the Honey Pot team. Or direct your enquiries to honeypot@adelaidefringe.com.au.

But with new events appearing left, right and centre, how sustainable is the current model of music festival? In this workshop, the realities of the modern festival circuit in Australia and the enduring question of how to secure a festival slot will be laid out for discussion from the perspective of the artist, along with the myriad of industry professionals involved in making a festival or large-scale event successful, profitable and if not financially profitable, worthwhile in the long term.
