十
(ten)
“十”in Chinese character is like a cross. That is why we use the gesture as the picture on the right to show number 10. That is also why in Chinese we call “intersection” and “crossroad” as“十字路口” (shízìlù kǒu), which means “ intersection of the character ten”. e.g. 十月一日 二月十三日
1st, Oct 13th, Feb
