Adeposi Adeogun
In the words of Albert Einstein, “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.” Thus, I have driven myself through the years to augment my expertise and knowledge in a vast array of fields directed at solving problems progressively in an ever changing and dynamic environment. I have consistently displayed dedication to hard work, strong analytical and artistic skills and have developed myself into a resilient team player. Most importantly, I strive towards letting my work speak for me in all cases, being representative of the quality and depth I dedicate to it.

01. Project Title: Lagos Linear Park Date: January 2020 An interconnected off-road bicycle transportation system which runs along wetland, linking points of interest, offers innovative urban farming opportunities and establishes a green corridor for the city. The Linear Park complies with the Lagos Urban Transport Masterplan and the Non-Motorized transport policies , providing public infrastructure for Lagos’ present and future needs.
Status: Urban Activism/ Proposal
Aerial Vertical Farm
Role: Architecture and planning concept
development, visualization and project research.
North Park: Maryland, Ojota Region
South Park: Anthony/Gbagada Region
Project Goal 1 Offers the first intersectional example between NMT and transport policy with a LAST MILE SOLUTION LINKING THE NEIGHBOURHOODS of Maryland through an off-road bike trail to the BRT bus stops at Ojota.
Project Goal 2 Will be the starting point for the LAGOS GREEN CORRIDOR MITIGATING FLOOD at Anthony-Ojota and will create an inner city nature and conservation resort. This will activate the creeks and wetlands organically cutting through the city form
Project Goal 3 Could be the starting point for a LOCAL BIKE INDUSTRY (manufacturing, repairing, training, sharing) and CREATES JOBS FOR LOCAL FARMERS AND CONSERVATIONISTS.

02. Project Title: Lekki International Airport As part of the Lekki Masterplan; in Lagos State, Nigeria; The International Airport situated close to the Epe axis of the state is intended to mirror the first and only international airport at Ikeja. This is due to projections of increased flight activity to the region as businesses grow, population explodes and the urban extent reaches the Penninsula. The airport is thus designed to cater for the 300 to 600 flights per day.

A primary consideration for the design of the airport concourse and passenger waiting area were the human sensory and perception abilties. Key issues like how direct and indirect or natural and artificial lighting affect perception of space were tested in case study analysis of three international airports. Subtle elements like geolocationing using suncast shadows proved to be a concept assisting passengers in wayfinding. Thus, the roof structure was varied at alternating levels, thus creating clarestory openings.

03. Project Title: El-Kanemi Student Hostel Date: July 2019 The Student Housing has been a major area of concern with the increasing student population as a result of the increasing drive for Higher Learning over the years. Irrespective of the gender status or background, the issue of sheltering (one of the basic needs of man) has not been fully addressed.

Site Plan
Ground Floor Plan
First Floor Plan
The building facade is greatly inspired by the metaphors of weaving fabric. There are three layers (seams) that overlap and intertwine. Each layer is color-coded and forms a pattern intrinsicly connected to the academic heritage of the campus. The overall design is thus a tribute to the modernist architecture movement in West Africa, with an emphasis on climatefriendly tropical modernism.
IN a high rise development such as this, it is very important to ensure that every resident retains a sense of identity and thriving creativity. Hence, each tower is surrounded by a view of the ‘outdoors’. There are gathering spaces for group interactions, wall art, games nights and fun interactions between students on every floor. Service floors also serve doubly as gathering spaces for larger scale activities such as tennis.
The void effect created in the courtyard is a product of inspiration from the whistle effect. Utilizing eddy currents that would otherwise have developed on blank wall surfaces, the orientation and inclination of the towers enable a streamlined flow of air around the buildings and into the courtyard to stimulate a spiral effect.

04.
Project Title: Idi-Araba Vertical Farm
As part of my undergraduate thesis in Architecture, I explored the potential of facilitating urban agriculture, through vertical farming. A key consideration was to ensure that the creation, maintenance and use of the vertical farm intervention is simple, low-tech and affordable for the local urban farmers. The design was also focused on creating structural interventions suited to the agricultural products already produced on site.
Role: Overall Designer, Visualization
05. Project Title: Otumara Fishing Hubs Date: July 2020 The project focuses on strengthening local fishing identity through low-tech design interventions, technology and planning. These concepts will be implemented with a pilot phase in the riverine slum community called Ilaje-Otumara. The community has endured and complained to no avail regarding several problems, the most prominent of which are; flooding and pollution, disconnection from the city and economic poverty.

Role: Group of 3; Lead Designer, Visualization, Topic selection and Concept development.
06. Project Title: Lekki Expo Date: November 2020 The Lekki Expo centre is a project produced for the State Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It is primarily intended to be iconic and representative of the ambition of the state to become a commercial capital of West Africa. A secondary consideration is the Public Private Partnership economic model used by the state to accomplish large scale projects like this.
Status: Academic Design Studio
Project Concept: Biomorphism The project thus employs the literal metaphor of a mantling bird to span the exhibition and auditorium spaces. However, the design does more than simply scuplt the bird structure. Instead, it takes the spatial layout and syntax as priority cores while the form of the covering is articulated around these spaces.
Role: Overall Designer, Visualization

Rear Elevation
With the central ridge acting as a collector of services is also itself an element of strategic design. This means that it acts as both a structural spine onto which fins latch and as a drainage channel. Secondly, the sculptural wing forms which serve as ornamentation and sunshading are designed to be light-weighted and structurally independent of the main-building.
