THANK YOUs

WITHOUT THE RELENTLESS SUPPORT FROM THE 2021-2022 EXECUTIVE BOARD, AIAS ASU WOULD NOT HAVE SEEN THE EXPONENTIAL GROWTH AS A CHAPTER IN A SHORT 3 MONTHS.

IT WAS AN ABSOULTE PLEASURE SHOWING UP EVERYDAY TO IMPACT THE LIVES OF SUCH A DIVERSE STUDENT BODY. AS A CHAPTER WERE WERE ABLE TO REACH OVER 600 STUDENTS AND SHOWCASE THEIR WORK AS COLLECTIVE IN EVENTS LIKE THE ARCHITECTURAL EXHIBITION. AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS, WE WERE ABLE TO BRING THE THREE SCHOOLS OF ARCHITECTURE BACK TOGETHER - ASU, TALIESIN & UofA.

We shift in space, we have shifted our gaze.

This issue of Discipline asks how the collective architectural world has responded to a shift in contemporary thinking and aprocahes towards design. How have we re-imaged our space? How have we adapted to a permanent shift? What does it mean to be an architectural student today? We, as a society, have been placed in a unique, reflective position wherein we must shift our perspective on our own lived experiences starting with menial and branching out to systematic. Discipline 08 is a collection of diverse perspectives at these different scales and lenses as it relates to our social and built enviroment. A
