Instructors get to know their students and truly care about their progress. ›› You’ll have plenty of chances to interact with your professors: Your upper-level classes may have as few as 20 people in them. ›› In addition, our instructors are known for doing research that advances knowledge in their fields. They often have student researchers who help in a number of ways, and you may be able to assist even as an undergraduate.
Award-winning transfer advisors ›› All incoming transfer students meet with a transfer advisor in the department in which they intend to study. Your advisor will explain how credit transfers to MSU, review your program’s requirements with you, help with course scheduling and registration — and much more. ›› Our advisors really know how to help you: They have won awards for their work, and the National Academic Advising Association recently recognized Missouri State’s program as an exemplary advising practice. 3

“Everything you need is right on campus and it’s easy to get around. I live in Blair-Shannon House, which I like because I have met a lot of people. I also go to the Rec Center every day. I love to play basketball there. But my favorite thing about Missouri State is the willingness in people to get to know each other. You can just randomly go up to people and start talking. People will go out of their way to say hi and make you feel welcome.”
