Weekly performances at Mid’s Park begin June 28
LAKE PLACID — The Songs at Mirror Lake Music Series has announced that The Pines Inn will, once again, be the Whole Note (Title) Sponsor for the 2022 season. This is the 13th year The Pines Inn has committed to supporting the music series. In addition, the Hampton Inn has been added as the Half Note (Presenting) Sponsor for a second consecutive year. Songs at Mirror Lake Music Series is held at 7 p.m. on seven Tuesdays throughout the summer at Mid’s Park on Main Street in Lake Placid.
These weekly performances, running from June 28 through Aug. 9, feature local, regional and national acts in the scenic and historic setting of Mid’s Park. The series features local and regional emerging artists in a variety of musical genres and provides valuable exposure to these up and coming acts. The music series is also an opportunity to introduce residents and visitors to a diverse range of musical genres in a scenic and relaxing setting.
In its sixteenth year, The Pines Inn Songs at Mirror Lake Music Series presented by Hampton Inn is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is comprised of a volunteer committee with all expenses covered by sponsorship and donations. Concerts are also made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts as well as the National Endowment for the Arts. It is truly a community inspired initiative that has produced a lineup that includes the following upcoming performances:
• 6/28: Americana Night with Midnight North • 7/5: Acoustic Jam Night with Orebolo • 7/12: Chilean Pop Night with Pascuala Ilabaca & Fauna • 7/19: Folk Rock Night with Brett Dennen Trio • 7/26: Electric Blues Night with Shemekia Copeland • 8/2: Indie Rock Night with Stephen Clair • 8/9: Zydeco Night with Terence Simien
