Plot - Himachal Pradesh is a State in North India,Its Culture is extremely contextual in nature. This School of Thought aims to educate the pupils and the children we encountered on the excursion but not by changing their lifestyle but a fusion of both the teachings of culture and modernism.

Plot - Uttar Pradesh (Uttar Meaning North) Another state in North India famously called as the State of Temples and its Temple City called Varanasi. Along the cities winding streets lie the ghats going parellel with the Ganges river, The core idea for this project was to capture the complexity of the Rhyzome like structure and develop a programme for the people of the city
LOCAL-SELF GOVERNANCE AND MULTI-CULTURAL CENTER OF ARTS AND SCIENCES VARANASI
HOSPITAL : A PUBLIC BUILDING FOR ALL Plot - A 300 Bed Multispeciality Hospital - at the existing Masina Hospital in Byculla,Mumbai Maharashtra. Hospital is the only kind of programme which has less public score on all levels at the same time(Star model of Publicness theory)Its the public building which has become the most obsolete over a period of time and hasnt changed its publicness in any way. When you enter a hospital you give up your right to publicness and act as a public object. The idea is to encounter an idea of paradigm which would amalgamate the publicness and the various functions
Site Studies of Masina Hospital
HOSPTIAL - PUBLICNESS NATURE
Hospitals as public buildings are not really public in their behaviour. The User’s activities are curbed due to the various constraints in an Hospital such as various restraints of movement, Time spent in the hospital according to the star model of publicness becomes suffrage time.
THE PUBLIC PLACES OF HOSPITALS
Places that identify space : Outdoor public square / streets, Interface and filter spaces between the exterior and the Interior, Portico / Loggia, Canopy, Atrium/Hall, Indoor covered square,Gallery/Hospital street,Access routes between the pavilions/in-between spaces,Patio/Courtyard,Internal Corridors
The Quality or state of being public, another meaning states that publicness means the quality or state of belonging to a community.(General) Publicness in architecture terms means the void which is between various functions where the purpose is to par-take their idea of publicness and allow themselves to be a part of the building rather than be its prisoner or the void where you feel like you have options of exploring various things of being with other users. That Void has the Potential of Redefining how the building is being used and the purpose of it is to bridge the gap between the user and the building and its the void where both the things integrate

The In Patient wing is the place where ideally the patient spends most of hi s time, thus it had to be arranged in a way where the patient is get refracted light and is always looking at nature in a way to calm down his pressure levels and to design corridors which have plenty of light coming in instead of a typical window at the end of hallway.

Interface spaces ( Between City and Hospital )
The topic of publicness is strictly connected to the role of the hospital within the city and the hospital in its local dimension of relations with the surrounding populated area. This integration can be seen Cluster 3 Entry View - where the public spaces acquire a fundamental role. The Presence of these spaces reintegrates the hospital building within the city Indoor and outdoor squares,Loggias,Entracne doors and roofing are elements that act as a hinge between the city space and hospital space - Jewish heritage has been derived looking at the history of the Main Building of Masina Hospital. The Motifs and Jalli work has been used by contemporary ways of means to bring in light differently. The streets and bridges seen in Cluster 3 Courtyard View - their connections between buildings according to the function, This Streets bring in a sense of direction towards all the necessary courtyards which are in turn they entry points to these buildings
