Alumnus Voice
Monica Prima Sari Alumnus of CESP, year 2006.
Chemistry seemed to be so difficult when I was in high school. Though I was one of top students in junior high, I found myself struggling so much to understand even the basic concepts in chemistry such as the mole concept, coeficient, index, and their role in an equation of chemical reaction. I was lucky to have the chance to study in CESP, Universitas Negeri Padang. As time went by, I was amazed with how everything was revealed to me that I could see the reason behind me struggling to grasp the concepts. In my third year I learned how to prepare a chemistry lesson both for one meeting and for the entire semester. I guess it’s true what people used to say that you’ll learn more as you’re preparing to teach a lesson. This is how I figured out what made chemistry difficult to me back then. Studying in CESP taught me many valuable lessons. The lecturers were able to deliver the lesson in variative and innovative ways, using a range of media and supporting technologies to help us, the students, engaged in the learning process. Even almost ten years after graduation, I still remember what I learned in classess. And for this, I’ll be forever thankful to all lecturers in Chemistry Education Department of FMIPA UNP. The experience of 1 month in Thailand especially in Satit Sucasart Khon Kaen is something that I am very grateful for. During my time I got the experience of dealing with students who were very ‘active’ in the classroom, using simple things to support the learning process. In addition to the field of education, I also gained experience in interacting with people who are different cultures, languages, lifestyles well, solving problems that I had not yet encountered in Indonesia, getting many friends and new friends
Fatia Rahmah Alumnus of CESP, year 2014.
Studying in chemistry education about 4 years are unforgettable moments. Around 4 years is taught by professional lecturers, proficient in his field and very care with students. In addition, administrative staff who are friendly to help students in taking care of papers, a fairly complete library and the presence of seniors who are very concerned about helping juniors who have difficulty both about lecture problems and outside of lectures.
Student Voice
Kuntum Kh Nurfadilah CESP student, year 2016.
Chemical Education in UNP is the best choice I ever made. I get a lot of things here. I’m not only know about chemistry and education, but also what is the essence of chemistry as a whole as well as education and teaching widely. I have not only known what chemistry is in my present life and history, but they invited me to see chemistry in the future. 5 fields of chemistry in general, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, and biochemistry. I’m not only invited to know the history of education and education issues before and now, but I prepared to become a teacher with high professionalism in the present and future both nationally and internationally. I’m not only know chemistry education in the academic field, I am taught how business opportunities are offered with mastery of chemistry, extensive relationships with chemical scholars, good writing and presentation of chemistry, utilization of various natural and synthetic materials in chemistry and its application , and so much more. In addition, UNP chemistry lecturers continued to spur us to develop by involving us in various existing researches and services that were active and passive, not to mention the high competitiveness of my student friends that made me unable to idle in lectures even though I had lots of busyness outside the academic field. I hope that UNP’s chemistry education is able to achieve international accreditation because there are too many unusual things that I get, the presentation given is extraordinary. Good luck for UNP chemistry education The Chemistry Education Study Program is an exciting and interesting study programme, I say so because everything in our sphere of life is inseparable from the name of chemistry, just say the food we eat, drinks, medicines and even to clean clothes we also use the name is chemistry, of course, if all these things are used with the right portion and right then it will bring benefits both for ourselves and the environment, but vice versa if the chemicals that are around every day, we do not know how to use and use the right, chemical what was useful for us actually brought mudharat to us. Besides that, we also still find that this chemical in the daily environment still exists (both few and many) society and children who are reluctant in studying this chemistry and for school children in particular also feel “dizzy” in studying this chemistry The study program is excellent and is the right choice for friends who want to continue their education in this study program because the Chemistry Education Study Program at Padang State University has the best lecturer in its field, mostly graduates from abroad, not only graduates from overseas. Chemical Education at Padang State University also has a myriad of excellent achievements at the Provincial to National level, of course, this makes us more confident about the quality of the Chemical Education Study Program at Padang State University.
Irfan Ananda Ismail CESP student, year 2017.
We’ve heard the saying that “the fruit falls not far from the tree”, and it turns out that it is true, students of Chemical Education Study Program at Padang State University who have been taught with high-quality lecturers have also succeeded in making excellent achievements at the provincial, national and even international levels. Chemistry Education is really an Extraordinary Study Program owned by Padang State University, not only there, but the Padang State University Chemical Laboratory is also very complete, and of course, this will further support the learning process of the Padang State University Chemical Education Study Program and support Educational Students Chemistry to achieve higher levels After all the things I described above, of course choosing the Padang State University Chemical Education Study Program is a very appropriate choice, and there is no more reason for us to glance at the Chemical Education Study Program at another University because the Padang State University Chemical Education Study Program is outstanding and quality for you Success Candidates Educators who will advance Education in Indonesia, especially Chemical Education
