India has scored big in achieving higher ranks for its institutes, by way of adhering to global benchmarking schemes setting standards for institutes of higher education and even recruitments for its pass outs. 33% of the top EBIDTA positive businesses are led by Indians according to one study. In the Asia University Rankings 2017, India has 33 best institutions in the top 300. This is a remarkable jump up, doubling from 16 listed in last year’s top 300. Thus, far from China or Singapore, let alone Japan or South Korea, from being ready to challenge the Western establishment, it is India that is looking best placed to take up the mantle. The Indian education system is witnessing a paradigm shift. The numbers of higher education institutes is on its vertical way up; digitalization is improving administrative systems & admission process; further policy initiatives are endorsing the cause of ‘Study in India’.
