Proceeds benefit our local Temple and Austin Ronald McDonald Houses! This is a (non-alcoholic) drink-making contest between teams of 5. Admission is $1 in advance, $2 at the door. Audience can taste each team’s concoction and vote for their favorite. Friday, April 1 @ 6:00 PM in the McCombs Center Ballrooms, Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas Our Alumnae Association is sponsoring the Jewel Degree ceremony for seniors of Zeta Chapter. We need 12 alumnae to complete the ceremony, so please RSVP to LauraAnn! Saturday, April 16 @ 1:00 PM in the Zeta Chapter Room, Sharon Lord Caskey Center, Southwestern University

Zeta Founders’ Day Celebration  

Zeta Chapter hosts Founders’ Day to celebrate the founding of this great sorority in 1851. Saturday, April 16 @ 2:00 PM (immediately following Jewel Degree in the Zeta Chapter Room)

Wine tasting event in Georgetown Sunday, May 15 @ 2:00 PM – taste 3 wines for $8 with souvenir glass In this glass of wine, do you taste black cherry or chocolate? Is there a smooth finish or a spicy undertone? Answer these questions and more at our upcoming event at the Georgetown Winery! The Georgetown Winery has award-winning wines and will provide a relaxing setting for us sisters to meet and greet each other. It is located on the historic Georgetown Square at 715 South Main Street, Georgetown, TX 78626. Pride Online Are you a member of Pride Online, the Alpha Delta Pi intranet? Pride Online is our password-protected area that lets Alpha Delta Pi members access resources like manuals and forms. It features member forums, a member search, and chat areas. All areas in the "My ADPi" section are available in Pride Online. “My ADPi” contains general information about the sorority, including our collegiate chapters, our alumnae, and our housing. It also includes contact information. How do I log in? Go to www.alphadeltapi.org. In the top right-hand corner of the Home page, enter your User Name and Password. If you do not yet have a User Name or Password, click on “First Time Signing In? Click here”. If it is your first time signing in, you will need your member number and year of initiation. Your member number can be found on the back of The Adelphean, or you can contact Executive Office for this information at 404.378.3164 or email at info@alphadeltapi.com. Once you log in, don’t forget to click on Update Personal Information to verify your contact information is correct.

In December 2010, the alumnae association adopted 2 families at Cooper Elementary in Georgetown ISD. We delivered over 30 gifts to 4 children!

Congratulations to Susan Elliot Harmon, President of the Midland Alumnae Association, for her recent Outstanding Parent Award at the Texas State Convention. Susan is the mother of Zeta Chapter President Dara Harmon and has contributed countless time and effort towards Zeta.

Alumnae association membership dues are due! Annual dues are only $20 What do membership dues pay for?  Association fees and dues to Executive Office  Jewel Degree ribbons for Zeta Chapter  Direct mailings to potential alumnae association members  Admission to Texas State Convention for an association representative  Name tags, tablecloths, and other sundry items for events Please bring cash or check (made out to Ginnie Colbert) to the next event to pay your dues so you can be in good standing. Recent Events

We have had quite a few events since our establishment. Check them out! 

June 2010 – Initial interest meeting  Developed goals for the association and signed Charter

July 2010 – Charter approved by Executive Office

July thru October 2010 – Dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse, lunch at Mimi’s Café, and happy hour at Cover 3

October 2010 – Elections

December 2010 – Holiday Dinner at La Maison Restaurant

December 2010 – Adopted 2 families (4 children) at Cooper Elementary, Georgetown ISD  We provided over 30 gifts!

January 2011 – Zeta Recruitment Dinner  We provided a potluck dinner to Zeta Chapter during their recruitment preparations.

January 2011 – Zeta deferred Formal Recruitment.  We assisted with recruitment mechanics and behind the scenes efforts.

We’ve been brainstorming ideas for upcoming events. Please let LauraAnn know your thoughts on the following:  Family train ride on the Austin Steam Train – Hill Country Flyer, Bertram Flyer or Twilight Flyer. Tickets would need to be purchased in advance for larger groups. Kid friendly!  Texas Stars hockey game at Cedar Park Center. Tickets would need to be purchased in advance for larger groups. Kid friendly!  Cooking at the Temple Ronald McDonald House.  Trip to Flat Creek Estate Vineyard in Marble Falls.  Dinner at Z’Tejas or SXSW in north Austin.  Bowling at Mel’s Lonestar Lanes in Georgetown.  Game night with Zeta Chapter (featuring games such as Catch Phrase, Apples to Apples, Yahtzee, Bunco, or Skip-Bo).

160th Grand Convention Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, AZ June 22nd – 26th, 2011 Throughout the Convention you will learn more about our members, chapters and alumnae associations--their achievements and their successes.
