n framing central tissue sustainable urban dynamics / 2020 individual project school of architecture Lund University

7

The location of the site is in The Czech Republic, in the capital city, in the Prague 11 district. As a continuation of working with my findings, I decided to base my strategies for this site on activating framing the „central park” area, by blending the existing functions of the site, with the new building typology, which would support the current situation and make it stronger. The project represents a vision that assumes a better human-scale structure and typologies that could work in balance with creating a balanced life between private and public life around and creating an easier way to establish social relations between people. The project also aims to strengthen the connection between two neighboring schools and creates a dialogue between them, where the buildings in between represent the functions of a library and an art gallery, where students and outsiders will be able to gain knowledge and easier associate with culture in a wonderful green setting. master plan

climate smart & architecture / 2020 group project school of architecture Lund University

14

The concept of the project was to create a comfortable architectural solution that will favor pleasant residence in apartments located in a fairly windy area of the city of Malmo. The project is based on previously created climate analyzes. The structure of the buildings was justified by data generated from the analysis of wind and sun, where in the results we could have an accurate insight into how the designed area will affect common climate change. The design site is located in Malmo, in close proximity to the train station and harbor. When creating an analysis of neighboring programs, we noticed that the designed space is highly valuable in the diversity of surrounding features such as schools, shops and parks. These factors motivated the creation of the project with a variety of typologies, social structures and with strengthening of existing values in a given design space. The project proposal envisages strengthening the main street that runs along the entire zone in social values b y adding various programs on the ground floor of the buildings such as restaurants, cafes and shops which are located in the most sunny area of the zone. The project also presents the enhancement of bicycle transport, because as we have seen around the design zone, bicycle lines are very well developed around it. Finally, the project was created taking into account climate change, reducing wind and giving the most opportunity to enjoy the sun in the most effective and economical way, without losing the maintenance of the project in an interesting and unique climate.

shaping life around the greenery sustainable urban landscape / 2020 individual project school of architecture Lund University

In my proposal, I tried to present a balanced approach to design in harmony with nature. In the analyze I focused mostly on housing types of residences in Angelholm, and how they commute daily. The fundings were really surprising because I discover that most of the people live in villas and they travel by car. Looking on that the strategy of my proposal is about breaking with the habit of commuting mostly by car and give residents the opportunity to travel more, by using public transport. The second pillar of the strategy is, to provide more housing apartments in blocks. It unites people more and creates social communities. The other strategies are: shaping social life and densifying, wich both assumes to supplement other parts of the proposal. The vision of the project focuses on satisfying the needs of city residents, which I found, are currently the missing elements. The proposal assumes, first of all, increasing the number of population and density in the design area, focusing primarily on creating various options for apartment blocks. In addition, the project also focuses on expanding public transport lines, by adding more connections and bus stops. Moreover the project strategy assumes to make new job spaces with the possibility of close residence, which promotes a sustainable living lifestyle and more car-free zone. Besides that my proposal promotes the vibrant lifestyle by creating new, social tissues, bringing up new urban flows of the private, semi-private, and public zones of the site.

n turning the tide 120 hours / 2020 competition partnership project

As time flies so fast, we can easily lose the perception of time and forget how big our impact brings to the current ever-deteriorating ecological situation of our land. The unimaginable amount of plastic that lands in the oceans every day, worsening the situation of drastic global warming, with such terrible consequences for us and our planet. Because of that, team 120 hours gave us as competitors a topic to be developed related to the design of an object, which to some extent could increase our awareness of the consumption of plastic in our daily lives, and to some extent, may even somehow reuse it. Thus that our project is based on the plastic structure as a reusable material, that creates a pavilion on the edge between water and beach, showing by that how fragile the boundary between them is. The structure of the pavilion is shaped by the graf, which shows how dramatic increase amount of plastic in the oceans every year. when you enter you can find many pieces of information about how the negative result of plastic use can impact our lives in the future. Maybe after a quick walk there, you could change your mind, and pick up the plastic bottle from the sand, that before you totally ignored? We hope so. Little story of Rio: Rio sees something reflecting in the sand. As he walks by, he notices a plastic bottle, but he does not bother to pick it up. Further away in the distance, he spots another object, a sort of structure. A volume from land to water. As he approaches it, he sees a dynamic form. So curious, Rifo decides to go in. Close up, he sees that plastic sheets are making up the struc- ture. Some of the plastic sheets have words scraped into them. Words telling him about the importance that plastic has had. plan

The main project task was to present an idea for the development of our campus space of the University of Technology in Koszalin. As a result, it was created exhibition space, which will give students the possibility to present their artistic achievements on a regular basis and it combines the exhibition concept also with a café place, creating a calm space where students inside and outside of the facility will be able to sit and relax. The interesting external structure of the building creates a wing shape, which gives dynamics to the building, makes some additional sit places, gives shadow and it also lights up during the evening time, thanks to the strips that are located at the edges. That would give an intriguing effect at dusk, which would certainly arouse the interest of passers-by at the evenings. section

In my diploma thesis, I present the process of operation, concept and design of the interior of the cafe, whose final location is in a revitalized post-war tenement house in Szczecin at Śląska Street. The choice of the topic is justified by the fact that it is the most current topic nowadays, where cafes are so common, and the demand for the emergence of newer and newer premises is constantly growing. In the project, I decided to focus on the possibility of focusing on customers’ premises, with different needs. So I separated two target groups of people, potential clients, with quite different requirements, but similar to each other in relation to their needs. This bachelor thesis presents the design of the interior design of the service premises, which is a coffee shop and shows a theory that talks about the individual’s approach to the subject of spending time in cafes. The aim of the project was to show the service premises in the concept of an open space for everyone. Places that with their functional layout, furniture selection and concentration of individual functions in a given space create zones, the reception of which depends on the needs of a single person. The first zone is the place for placing and issuing orders. It is primarily intended for people who want to buy something to take away, or for those who do not have a lot of time. In the morning most of us are in a hurry somewhere, which is why this solution came to my mind. It is the same entrance zone, inviting potential clients inside, because we see the interior of this area from the outside, and at the same time it is a representative and dynamic zone in which life springs. The second part of the cafe, much larger, is intended for those who would like to sit with a cup of coffee alone or in the company of friends in a larger reflection and concentration during joint meetings. This zone is designed primarily for these people. It has comfortable armchairs, a huge table, which is almost four meters long, which will create the perfect space for those people who want to work freely in the company of their laptops, books, notebooks or sketchbooks that usually can not be accommodated on a standard coffee table. Certainly this table will accommodate all our necessary materials. People who will prefer to sit in greater solitude will find their places with comfortable armchairs. Thinking about potential clients, I have placed in this zone also two large bookshelves on which you can find various types of books and magazines, which every customer will have access to at any time. Certainly, everyone will find their place depending on their needs and preferences, and that is what it is all about. Of course, the designed divisions are only proposed solutions. This does not mean, however, that someone who wants to drink coffee quickly will not be able to enter the zone on the landing. This is just a conventional division, and the use of the given zones will depend on the preferences of an individual consumer.

furniture project representation

In the design you can see a lighting element, which is a combination of stairs, giving the effect of a „tunnel” which leads us to descend to the lower level, where, among others: a toilet, utility room and place will give employees. It is a proprietary element used to create the original setting of the stairs and give them a decorative effect. The construction is made of black, half-matt steel and in the recesses light panels have been installed, which extend along the width of the stairs to the opposite point on the construction of the structure. The upper part of the mold was extended with a tabletop of the same color, so that you could designate a single seat there, where the person on there will have a perfect view of the entire zone below, which is important given the previously described preferences regarding the choice of place by units in public space. In the pictures above, I present the concept of the described element. Inside, we can observe the use of various types of finishing materials and textures, such as: brick, which gives a pleasant and warm indoor climate, concrete that balances it and gives a very industrial and raw effect. I also used white, ceramic, tiles, hexagonal shape, which were placed on the floor on the middle floor under a huge table (which can be seen on visualizations), to extract this zone and give it a noticeably different character. The tiles were also introduced to the project for another equally important reason. They appeared because they are a reference to the originally existing tiles that once existed in the interiors of the tenement house, thus they are a reference to the history of this place, because their form, color and structure contain a similarity to these formerly original tiles. The project also used marble, used as a delicate accent, which can be observed on small coffee tables and as a finishing material for a sales lady. Marble definitely emphasizes the style of the interior, and gives it class. The choice is not accidental, because in the project I wanted to show the diversity of materials and texture solutions, which certainly diversifies the interior and makes it much more interesting, thus I tried not to introduce unnecessary chaos and a sense of satiety. In order not to bring it to life, I decided to make the rest, ie furniture, partly floor and accessories, keep in a very toned form, focusing mainly on the colors of white and black thus creating the perfect base for the rest. The furniture used in the project is carefully selected. Referring to individual interior furnishings, all the chairs and armchairs presented come from the collection of the „TON” company, which in its furniture focuses on the high quality of the product and the modern form of the final product. The remaining furniture used in the project are original design and constitute a quite simple form, which, as I mentioned earlier, was supposed to be the basis for the rest of the various elements and finishing materials.
